Story

Free Geek Toronto is a non-profit social enterprise that seeks bridge the digital divide that exists in our city. We accept donations of unwanted electronics and either give them a second life by refurbishing it to re-sell at an accessible price or ethically recycling them.

We're currently located in heart of West Queen West and serve the entire city.

Our Mission — To promote social and economic justice by:

- Reducing the environmental impact of electronic waste
- Increasing access to computing and communications technologies
- Providing education, training, and job skills
- Promoting the use of free and open source software

Our Vision — To make our city a place where e-waste is disposed of responsibly, safely and ethically, and where everyone has access to computers and the Internet.

Products

FGT accepts donations of computers and electronic waste, refurbishes and repairs and subsequently re-sells laptops and computers at an affordable price. For more information about our organization please visit www.freegeektoronto.org.

Great place to donate your old computer gear, it gets recycled or sold for their non profit organization! Not a big a location as some of the other freegeeks around the country but still a nice place! Stop by when you donate as they also have some great hardware for sale at good prices.

For those of you looking for budget PC PARTS - this location is very different from the Vancouver location, in that they sell mostly completed systems. 
For those looking for budget laptops and desktops however, the staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. The completed systems they have are very reasonably priced, this shop is your best bet for a refurbished computer :)

Free Geek Toronto Rocks!

I found out about Free Geek Toronto through a Google Search and I am very happy for their existence.  

They offer various services such as electronic recycling sales, plus On Top Of That they offer some Free Computer Geek Help through their volunteers when time prevails.

I just want to personally Thank Ryan for the time that he took on his very busy work day to help ME with My Laptop Related Questions and/or Concerns back on Friday, January 26, 2018.

He is Excellent and Very Trustworthy and I would Highly Recommend Him and his company to any needing their help and/or services.
