Floyd’s Diner James Bay

We had a nice warm welcoming dining experience at this restaurant. Servers were very friendly and attentive. They made our kids happy with their cheerful conversations. Food was good and plenty. We ate and ate, and barely managed to finish everything, even though we wanted to eat more and more. There’s always a queue to enter but it goes fast, so it’s alright to wait a bit. Also, food is good and generous portioning, so it’s all worth it. One can order drinks while waiting in the queue and be served outside while waiting to be seated in. So that’s nice. Overall, a good dining experience.

Always worth the wait to get in! Went for a brunch date, had absolutely fantastic service, delicious coffee, very generous half order of pancakes with toppings, and I added a side of crispy bacon. Was offered a small sample of the optional lemon curd and strawberry coulis that was a taste sensation. It tasted obviously made from scratch with love. Like a flavour bomb going off! Unreal. More please!

What a wonderful time and experience in Victoria. We were in the area to try and see if we could go to blue Fox Café originally, but there was such a long lineup that we decided to check into our hotel and look around the neighborhood. Our eyes could not avert the beautiful hot pink colour that was this little diner. Floyd's has a great menu with breakfast brunch and lunch items and the staff are so kind. We ordered the chicken and waffles Benny and the BC hash and the portions are very generous and reasonable. Each dish still comes in around 18-20$ but we felt it was worth it. Highly recommend if you're in the area. As an additional note, the washrooms are tiny and I would say accessibility wise it is a little tight. They also have seating outdoors which is quite nice.

I tried the vegetarian hash... it tasted good. The salsa was really yummy. The potatoes were crispy. The rest of the food : poutine and the lumberjack was tasty too. The food was fresh and the portion was good for 2. They also have bottomless coffee for 4.25.. The staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this diner. They serve all day breakfast and lunch. The wait time for a table was 10 minutes. Street parking available.

The food was delicious. Usually, there is a line at the diner. Luckily none during our visit. Every food we ordered were in huge portion and mouthwatering. Everything on the menu sounds tasty. The diner was really clean and cute. Customer service was awesome. All crews were friendly and approachable. We went back to our hotel full and happy with the service we experienced. We will be back here again on our next visit. To taste their yummy food.

Great service, food, and atmosphere. Very flavourful chicken waffle benedict! Chili was very good! Pancakes tasted home made with maple syrup We definitely will be back to try other things on menu as there are so many options!

Visited here this afternoon for the first time. Would be a five star visit based on the food alone, however the waitress was just ok, so it was reduced to 4 stars. The other staff were fantastic and very friendly. I had the chicken and waffles and they were perfect. Coil hash browns were alright, but that’s more of a personal preference. We also ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich with fries. It was amazing. I would be interested to try the other Floyd’s diner to compare

A charming diner with some very friendly staff. We had french toast and pancakes, both were delicious. Coffee and tea were also great. The place does get crowded and there is a waiting line outside, so I recommend showing up early.

This venue has a really special vibe. The staff work well as a team. The hostess, who I will assume was the owner was lovely, graciously offering to take photos of people who wanted them. My meal was absolutely delicious, but so much more than I could eat at one sitting I had it as a second meal later in the day. It was a fun experience. Very busy considering it was Tuesday morning a workday.

Yum Yum Yum Yum Yum! Excellent food and excellent service. Our male server didn't catch his name was hilarious and super efficient. The kitchen puts out quality food quickly but doesn't compromise on taste and flavor.
