Definitely a great place to bring a large group of friends on a weekend or Friday night. Very lovely place with great mood and a decent bar. My burger was decent, nothing special or anything but was definitely satisfying, but I would recommend their lime pie! Not too sweet with great texture. Service beyond the standard, and it was clear that customer experience is a priority! Our table appreciated it a lot ! Amazing experience to dine here awesome food. It’s location is so perfect we landed up going here twice in 3 days The food is delicious highly recommend the veg lasagna for vegetarians. Chicken parmesan had the crispiest chicken and all flavours came so well together. Also the fish and chips. The best was key lime pie . Must visit when in Victoria.

One of the few places which have decent options for vegetarians! The staff is amicable and made us feel very comfortable. We ordered mushroom skillets, curried penne and vegetarian lasagna. Mushroom skillet was delicious and better than expectations. Curried penne wasn’t great, but the vegetarian lasagna was amazing!! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a satisfying meal. Would definitely visit more to check out the other dishes.

Frankie's is a must go if you are visiting Victoria, the location is perfect as you will definitely find yourself walking up and down Government street and the diner is just there. The menu is vast and cover much, if not all, you'd expect a dinner to serve. The food has always been amazing on every visit and the service very friendly and welcoming. If you find yourself lost on so many options, go for the mimosas, classic burger with fries and a slice of that amazing key lime pie.

First time at Frankie's and will be back. The food was so delicious and quickly prepared. The atmosphere was chill and waitress was attentive and helpful. I got chicken and fries with a calimari appetizer. Price was decent for the location and items. Again the food was delicious. I'd definitely come back if i was in Victoria again as I was throughly impressed.

Went here on a whim. Food was good. Stuffed Meatballs and Fries - flavour was good. Wish it came with 3 meatballs instead of 2, they were a tad on the small. Parmesan on fries is not needed and doesn't add value to it. Grilled Salmon Burger - it was good. Could have been more generous with piece of salmon though. What I really liked was the ability to change fries to a salad at no extra cost. Tomatoe soup - was really good. Too big of a dollop of basil pesto. Pepperoni Pizza - was good "World Famous" Key Lime pie - don't know how it became world famous. Title not deserved. Lacked lime flavor and the whipped cream was not fresh.

Had the pleasure of getting to enjoy a very delicious Vegan Breakfast Wrap at Frankie's Modern Diner! Our server Jade was absolutely incredible!!!! She kept our coffees hot and full, had amazing interaction with my younger child, and took very good care in checking for other allergens with my family after I had mentioned my egg allergy. Topping this incredible experience off, the kitchen and fellow service staff was sure to keep my wrap clear of any potential cross contamination with eggs as it was brunch and obviously there's eggs flowing everywhere, lol. They went as far as to inform me they were not going to risk cutting my wrap, and then brought it out seperate and mentioned the reason for not cutting it once again. Everyone's food looked so good! Prices are incredibly reasonable! And I was SO full from my wrap, I had to get my son to eat the last 3 bites. I can hardly wait to go back to Vancouver Island JUST so I can come back and try even more!

They have outdoor patio. Great with sunny weather. Food was super yummy. This is the first time my kid eats a whole french toast by himself!

Restaurant mostly empty, still chose to stuff us in a small booth, took forever to take our order, refused to do half and half fries and salad with chicken fingers when my partner got it with his burger, waitress was rushed and extremely unfriendly would it kill her to smile? I’ll be amazed if the food is good. If it is I’ll knock this from a 1 star to a 2 but I’m not expecting much. This is when tipping is a wonderful way of expressing your displeasure and disappointment with a restaurant.*update* as predicted, food was terrible. If the hostesses and waitresses don’t care about their job, chances are neither does the kitchen. My partners fries were gross, lukewarm, and tasted like they was preprepared sometime last week, my chicken fingers had pieces of cartilage throughout them, the salads were wilted old lettuce, the dressing Caesar oddly tasted like it was made with goats milk? Weird and not good. At least the beer was cold. . Anyways, just all around a very disappointing experience considering how amazing the Cheesecake Factory that used to be up there was. I do not predict this place in business much longer.

I loved Frankie's Modern Diner. The ambiance and the atmosphere in the restaurant was incredible, and the waitresses were super friendly. Ours was especially hospitable, and gave us an excellent service. The food was delicious, and the portions are nice and big for it's cost. Definitely recommend anything seafood at this place as they use freshly caught local seafood! Great restaurant.
