Fitness 2000 is a locally owned gym in Burnaby with a 60ft indoor pool, hot tub, 2 weight rooms, functional training center and group fitness classes.

Story

Fitness 2000 located behind Lougheed mall is the most complete gym in the Tri City area and is a one stop shop for all your fitness needs. Our facility also has physiotherapy and massage therapy.

We have two workout gyms,new 800sq ft Functional Training centre, 60 ft indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. All memberships include unlimited group fitness classes.

We are open 7 days a week as early as 5:30am on weekdays and our (Big Gym) is open till 12am Monday to Thursdays.

We offer no long term contracts (30 days notice to cancel) or yearly memberships. Memberships can be placed on a hold at anytime if you need time off.

I really like this location because every member at this location  are friendly and care about each. People there are very supportive and encouraging whether it be the staff or members. The trains there are really awesome they help guide you with your goals and they spend that little extra time with you because they care. The main boss man there is awesome, funny and he does his best to help in whatever he can and his staff something. What I also really like no one there pushes you into getting a trainer or to buy products. Plus it's way better than Steve Nash or Good life fitness.

I came for the large facilities and affordable prices but I stayed for the community. The owner Chris and his staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a good experience every time you go in. He knows the names of every one of his members and based on the size of the fitness club, that's saying a lot. Best gym in the lower mainland.

The gym is in a older building and it's a little run down, but it has everything you need! The functional training room is great and I love that there is also a pool. Great gym for the price. Staff are also super friendly!

I've tried a few different gyms before and this is hands down the most spacious and well supplied gym I've been to for the price! The staff is very sociable and helpful, the facilites are clean, there are tons of different drop-in classes to take (yoga, Zumba, etc), the pool is big and clean, and there's lots of different machines, free-weights, and equipment depending on your preferences. They also offer an excellent trial program so you can check things out before making a decision!

I have always enjoyed working out here.  This place and can be busy at certain times but not to the extent of recreational centres such as Poirier Community Centre in Coquitlam.  The clientele seems to be better as well.  Chris is very hands on and he makes a point of saying hello to his clients and talking to them. The change room has been undergoing renovation the last six months which makes it very inconvenient right now.  The other thing I am concerned with is that there seems to be more outside groups using the facility.  I have to evaluate this again in about a month - after the renovation is complete.
