There isn't a lot of space around the equipment and during busy times can get a but crowded and you may have to wait for machines or equipment. If you can avoid the very periods though, it's quite decent, especially when you factor in the price! I thought that this was a "discount" gym because all the old good life equipment came here to die, but that's not the case at all! The equipment is fairly new and well maintained.

I've been going here for years, and I'll probably always go here because all I want is a gym open for 24 hours that's cheap. No complaints for paying 10$ a month, it has everything you need to get a good workout in. Peak times you work in with people using machines.

If i could give it 0 stars i would. The 190 membership is not worth it. The gym is always dirty with staff just hanging out at the front desk chatting. The staff are so short and rude its unbelievable. If i owned this place i would fire them all and restaff that place with people who actually care. Me and my wife noticed a lady struggling to use the computers they have there she wasnt to tech savy so we spent our time helping her fill out the forms while the lady was scrolling threw her phone at the desk. Pretty much any time you interact with any of them its same attitude. I dont know how they are employed its the easiest job you can ask for basic custumer service. The gym busy but thats to be expected. Go before and after staffed hours to avoid the peak hours and useless staff.

I’ve worked out at World Gym, Good Life, Planet Fitness, and most recently the Fit4Less in York (inside mall). I’ve never written a negative review on ANYTHING in my life, but after working out at this Fit4Less gym for a short 2 weeks, I feel it is essential to let people know how terrible this gym is. First of all, the staff is nasty and rude, no matter what time of day I workout, morning or night. They are constantly gossiping to themselves like a high school cafeteria, and spread negative vibes with their body language. For example, last week as I walked in I saw a client ask a question about a membership upgrade, and observed the way it was dealt with, and it was disgusting. It started with a “There’s nothing I can do (folded arms), then a glance to the co-worker, smirking and eye rolling. I’d never seen anything like this at any gym. Next, the gym is never maintained. The weights are ALWAYS in the wrong spot (I’ve never seen a 30lb dumbbell on the ‘30lb’ label here). It smells like brutal body odor 90% of the time, and the bathrooms smell like rotten cat urine. Have you ever cleaned them? Warning to anyone getting a Fit4Less membership in York: take a deep breath and plug your nose when using bathroom, or else urine for a treat. The staff stands around (usually in the back room not visible to public) and does absolutely nothing. Why do you have 3-4 staff working at the same time doing nothing but gossip? Do you like wasting your payroll? I am new to town and seeing the disrespect from staff and lack of work ethic, with terrible odor in the gym, and NO maintenance, is a travesty. Side notes: Very limited equipment: only two squat racks, no calf machine, limited barbells, limited bench, catastrophic Stairmaster, 1 lat pull down…. No water fountain either...

GOD AWFUL!! DO NOT SIGN UP HERE!! Weights were a disaster, gross and never in the right place. Staff are UNBELIEVABLY rude, and show VERY little care about doing their job, which is very simple. Can't say enough bad things about this location. Horrible.
