Serves delicious noodle dishes and plenty of other Chinese cuisine. Plenty of indoor seating available and a few outdoor tables as well. They offer takeout and adult beverages too. Located in the heart of Victoria's Chinatown and only feet from historic Fan Tan Alley. Enjoy the sites and sounds and delicious food. Kid-friendliness: Bring the kids... Parking: Better to walk here or take transit.
The food was delicious and came out within 10-15 minutes after ordering! Plenty of options on the menu and very reasonably priced. Located in an ideal area right next to the alleyway, sitting outside was enjoyable especially for people-watching.
Great food with a nice atmosphere right in the heart of Canadas oldest Chinatown. Went for lunch and really enjoyed the Spicy Lunch Combo it was flavorful but not overly spicy definitely recommend a stop if your walking around downtown Victoria.Food: 5/5
My family is very into authentic Asian food. Eventho they didn’t get exactly what they expected when it came to flavour. The price, amount and taste of food was great for me! Also really fast service. Would change a bit the decor if I was the owner.
Our server was fantastic. She was the only waitress in the whole busy place and it was a lunch crowd. She probably needed help, but did a good job. The lunches left is full, but wishing for something else. Perfectly good vegetables were coated in thick unappetizing sauce. The sauces ran into each other on the plate . The fried shrimp was more bread than shrimp. The chicken in the fried rice had a lot of peices of just chicken fat in it rubbery chicken fat with no meat attached. In looking at the other reviews and photos, it almost seems like I ate at a different place, but that's where we ate. I wonder if it was a new chef? We Won't go here again. But if I did, I'd try the Won Ton soup. That looked good, but I don't know how it tasted.
Tried to love it due to it's historic location but as we came in the customers were complaining about their cold salty mall type of fried American-Chinese food and refusing to eat there, and even though there were only 2 customer tables left, the waitress seemed very overwhelmed. Instead we crossed the street into a fantastic and authentic dumpling spot.
Great little Asian restaurant with North American style Chinese food. The War Wonton was exceptional with crisp but cooked veggies plenty of protein and great flavor!
The portion sizes here are good and the service was friendly. Taste wise, the dishes were pretty salty and oily. It’s a typical western Chinese food restaurant. If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food, do yourself a favour and go across the street to little yunnan.
Really bad service here... Me and my husband came in here to eat dinner for my birthday and the lady that came out said they are only doing take out right now as half the restaurant was filled with customers eating. Really wanted to give this place a chance but not after this rude experience. So be prepared to be turned away.
Three of us entered about 2pm and there were three or four tables finishing up. The one server seemed overwhelmed and we waited to be seated. Once seated we ordered three drinks, then selected food items. I ordered the Wor wonton soup with prawns which was a few dollars more than the regular soup my friends ordered the combination plates chosing two and three items each. The soup arrived without the prawns and was very sweet and salty. The portions were a good size though. Half way through our meal our server brought our drinks claiming that she almost forgot. Overall pretty average. $67 plus tip.
