Thank you Kevin for helping me this morning. You gave me information that was very helpful and after taking your advice I'm on the road to recovery from the onset of pneumonia. I was driving the blue nissan at 8 am this morning. You're wonderful, thank you again very much !
Had symptoms of heart, racing, fast breathing, small pain once under my left rib, and narrowing of vision, feeling faint. Pulled my car over safely and went into the urgent care centre that was near where I was staying and drive past on the way I was going to school.nI asked if they could take my vitals since they had no availability for any appointment with a doctor who could see me.nThey declined. I asked if I could sit down because I felt faint. I had to ask that 2 times on the 3 rd time I sat without asking. Explaining again calmly I felt faint and needed to sit down. I called 811 and a nurse asked me many questions, in that time I started to feel more normal and that my breathing and heart stopped racing and i no longer felt as faint as I did when I was standing.nI spent a total of 25 minutes there and was harassed by the women who does the clinic ambassador position DeenI talked to an 811 nurse and then a virtual physician who both recommend I continued to sit there until I felt well enough.nDuring that time I was continually harassed by both Dee the client ambassador and finally also accused of being rude by the office manager Shannon she said first thing she said to me as I explained to Dee calmly I did not want to be harassed anymore while I was waiting on the phone to talk to a virtual physician and trying to regulate my breathing and heart rate.nI started to feel better as I sat down and drank some water but the entire time harassed by the client ambassador and also the office manager Shannon.nI was all the way through this experience not raising my voice or saying anything that I would understand to be rude other then advocating for the fact that my experience was harassment from Dee about sitting in the office, respectfully talking with the 811 nurse and doctor.nShanon said that she didn’t believe what I was experiencing was harassment before even asking me what happened or what was happening.nI advocated for myself that was her judgement of my experience and my experience was harassment and explained how I was uncomfortable going back and forth in discussion with Dee about why I needed to sit down in a chair because I was feeling faint and light leaded, heart racing, breathing fast and small pain under my rib.nThey asked many times about an ambulance and I explained I was trying to avoid the 80$ charge for calling an ambulance because I could not afford that at the moment.nI said I was going to call for a ride another way if that’s what the 811 nurse and doctor suggested but they hadn’t yet I was on hold to talk to the virtual doctor which took about 10 minutes to connect.nThis was a terrible and traumatizing experience for me as I just wanted somewhere safe that I knew if something happened or escalated I would be safe as I called to find health advice with 811.nThis was harassment and I plan to contact my local levels of government to explain my experience. It was unjust I believe considering my symptoms and my respectful manor the entire interaction with many attempts to advocated respectfully for myself. This matter was regarding Shannon the office manager and Dee the client ambassador at the esquimalt urgent care centre. I asked for this information and it was initially with held until Dee the client manager on my 3rd request for how to make a complaint with island health and what identification I needed to file a complaint against the office and the two people I was dealing with.nNo I have contacted both the patient quality concerns office and also the ombudsman for the ministry of health regarding my care and interaction with Esquimalt urgent care and the named employees.nI truly hope if you have experienced this that you also file a complaint with the Patient Quality concerns office and health link.
Called at 8 and got a same day appointment for 11: received prompt, thorough, and compassionate care from Dr.Malcolm MacLeod and Nurse Michelle I think?! for a sensitive female issue. Thank you two so much for your kindness and professionalism.
Ok, I’m new to urgent and was unaware that you needed to call for an appointment, I walked in and immediately the older woman that sits in the middle was so loud and rude asking if I had an appointment. Then she yelled that I needed to go to a different clinic. I was very offended to how I was being treated and felt belittled and defeated. It would have been nice if she helped explain the process
I just needed to renew my prescription. It is so frustrating to deal with this clinic. The lady at the door kept arguing with me that if I call at 8am, I will be able to get an appointment, and all clinics in Victoria will give you an appointment if you call at 8, like she’s so certain “NO WAY YOU WILL GET AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU CALL AT 8am”nnI told her that I tried so many times to call at 8am and that this is not true. I am sure she knows that. nnKeep rating guys on Google and give your voice although I know that they don’t care about people’s evaluations.nnThank you.
