El Burrito Mexicano

This place is what you call a hole in the wall. It’s a good place to get a quick bite. Not expensive, you won’t get best tacos in the world, but they’re fast and they have good flavor. If you order in you will also receive chips and salsa. On this trip I ordered two tacos and a coke, for $10. Tacos had beef, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. Hot sauce wasn’t spicy but had a good flavor. Chips tasted home made and the salsa had a good flavor. Small location with only 6 tables, so if you’re lucky you’ll get a seat. Parking is hard to find in this area.

Of all the small, humble, big and fancy Mexican restaurants in this area, I dare to say this is the closest it gets to the actual taste of a nice taco in the streets of Mexico City. The service is also pretty good for what it is. Highly recommended! Kid-friendliness: Good option for kids if they like the kind of food. The Guacamole is delicious and generous.

Food and service was great. Vegetarian Burrito was a solid 9/10. Hit the spot for late night cravings. The beans and rice were fresh and not too oily. The tomatoes and lettuce were crisp and fresh. Salsa platter was very authentic. Chips were crispy and not too oily. The front cashier was friendly and asked if I wanted everything on my vegetarian burrito. They honored my request to remove the cheese and sour cream to make it a plant-based vegan burrito. I cannot confirm if the beans were made with lard of the rice was make with chicken bullion though, for true vegans. Although it did not taste like it had lard in the beans. The general restaurant was clean, although the bathroom could use a little freshening up. Overall a great experience I highly recommend this authentic Mexican food that has healthy vegan burrito option. Burrito would have been 10/10 if they added a couple mushrooms in there. I’d pay another $2 for this add-on.

I would be remiss if i let another day go by without submitting a review about the wonderful food i had the pleasure of eationg @ El Burrito Mexicano. They very well may have the best Tacos on the Northside of the city. Now, i have some very good Tostadas in my day, but the one I had the other night while visiting El Burrito was nothing short of phenomenal. My taste buds are still tingling from the mexican flavor explosion that burst in my mouth. I will be back tomorrow for the burrito since i haven't had the Chicago styled oversized steak burrito in over 20 years... I can't wait!!!

Burrito was decent but after I was asked if I wanted a few specific add ons the burrito ended up being twice the price and not one of those add on items were even on my burrito. The one good thing is the late hours and proximity to Wrigley Field.r

This food is amazing if your drunk and incoherent. The cashiers are extremely rude and looked irritated the entire time. When I asked for a receipt, he said no and went to take the next order. Later I realized he overcharged a $2. Also, all of the meat on my tacos were BURNT and dry. Never again.

Fast service food was excellent very tasty and no fatty pieces in the steak.Food: 5/5

Soo my boyfriend and I have been here so many times and LOVE their burritos, BUUT I have to say we do not recommend...maybe anything else. At least not the enchiladas - leaving much to be desired. The torta was pretty much what we expected. He thought he would try something different from the menu, lol, but he thought wrong! We'll just be sticking with their burritos thanks.

We ordered the steak tacos and chicken burrito and it was phenomenal. Food came out very quick and tasted very fresh. Employees were super nice and friendly! Highly recommend!!
