Fernando's Tequila Bar & Restaurant

Super friendly people who come here. The staff is always pleasant. The margaritas are strong and always taste great. The street fires and wings are a great food option for a quick bite but are filling.Food: 5/5

This restaurant caught my attention so me and my friend went here. The waitress came and took our order, she seemed new as she didn't seem to know the menu too well. We ordered our food and an appetizer. Took a while to get our drinks which were a soda and a pina colada- the place was not busy at this time so no reason for delay. Then after a long a time we didn't get chips which were at other tables- not sure if everybody gets chips or not but we had ordered guacamole. We are Mexican while 90 percent of the other customers were Caucasian so i feel as this had something to do with the bad service. I asked the waitress if we could get chips and she brought out our guacamole with chips. Not sure if she forgot we had ordered this until I asked her for it or if it was just bad service overall. She brought our dinner and I asked if we could get hot sauce when she brought cholula I knew then and there I would not be returning back here. I looked at her and said you don't have salsa? She said she would bring the house salsa. I had fish tacos which had no flavor, the salsa helped along with some salt but would not order them again. The rice and beans were good. My friend ordered asada well done and it was a bit pink but they ate it anyway, they enjoyed the food but didn't like that the house salsa was warm. I will not return to this restaurant and do not recommend it. If you want Mexican food with some flavor and great service this is not the place.

I liked the food and music at Fernando's! DETAILS *AMBIENCE* The restaurant is cavernous with plenty of seating for any size party. The Latin music is upbeat and super energizing! *SERVICE* My service wasn't great but it was not bad. I would describe it as passive and inattentive. Once the waiter had given me water and chips and salsa he never came back. I had to walk up to the bar with the menu and order. *FOOD* I ordered the Shrimp Chimichurri with refriend beans and mixed vegetables. It was fantastic! Everything. Also, their salsa is house made and absolutely delicious. *VALUE* My meal was $19. That's good pricing and a good value! *OVERALL* I recommend Fernando's and would dine here again when in the area.

The service was good. No complaints about the service. My biggest complaints are about the size of the guacamole and queso compared to the price and the blandness of the vegetarian food that we ordered. The vegetables were all bland and that made for less than appetizing entrees. A bit of seasoning and sauces would have done wonders for the dishes. The menu offers options for vegetarians, but it doesn’t deliver on flavor.

Kind of cute interior. The food was good, the drinks are pretty good too. The wait stay was very nice, he was newer, but did a good job! Photos are "Birria Gajitas Quesadilla", and a "Beer-rita"

Great food, friendly staff and a comfortable space. We'll certainly return!

Finally visited Fernando's! The food was good and our server was great. The bottled margaritas vs. the typical pitcher is a fun change. Will definitely be back! Only reason I am not giving a full 5 stars is because it's not my favorite Mexican place in this area. But who knows, maybe that will change.

Edit to my review: their food has drastically gone downhill. The guac is just okay, ceviche is no longer on the menu and chips aren't made in house or special anymore. They also pulled some not cool trick by charging 50% more for margaritas for the day after Cinco de Mayo without telling anyone. It was pretty bullshitty. Awesome margaritas that will knock you off your ass! I used to love The guacamole and ceviche together, and their chips, which were made in house and simply incredible, but they changed the menu and the food just isn't great all around. I think their salsa is made in house though - also some of the best I've had. Margaritas are great though.

Potato wedge appetizer was delicious but everyone else had no flavor whatsoever and what did was awful. Would not be going back
