Coming in we were seated right away the space was spacious, the food was delicious this is the one place where we actually didn't have any left overs. The rice taste different in a very good way the bean also my tacos had a different take. My experience was good my only remark would be the waiter. He didnt seem very friendly but he brought the food in an appropriate amount of time, the second remark is he only checked on our table as were already done eating.. I would difinatly come back here to eat the food is sooo good.
You've never had churros like these. Might be difficult to spot with current construction but it's connected to the Latin restaurant, El cafe tapatio, in the corner at cross section of Ashland and Roscoe. It's on Roscoe. Had Mau, Aunt Rose, Joan Holloway, and Prudence. Joan Holloway with the guava compote was my favorite.
A new way to eat a delicious churro! Don't go simple go all in and get the Churro-which. You will not be disappointed.
Waiting is a must but the churros are fresh and crunchy....pricey but good
Best churros in Chicago. I totally recommend the coffee with milk + the Mau churro. They also have a great ice cream for a perfect combination. The services is great and the churros are right out the oven -really fresh -. It deserve the wait
Very good churro. I always go with the original, but they have some interesting toppings you can add. They have a sign to order ahead as it can take up to 15 minutes to get them. Great that they are made fresh, but a heads up if you're in a hurry.
Fresh, delicious churros. You can see them being brought out from the back every now and then. Nice creative flavors to try alongside your traditionals.
Giving them 5 stars before I even leave this place. We got 3 different churros and the Mexican chocolate dip which comes in a lil tub so you can dip any of your churros in it, and a Mexican hot chocolate. Incredible, indulgent, absolutely loved them.10/10.
Seriously. If you're craving a churros this is definitely where you should come and get your fix! We tried The Joan Holloway and the Prudence for their regular churros and let me tell you and we also tried a Churro-wich I had the Maradona and my best friend had the Abuela and they did not disappoint! The Gelato absolutely makes these churrowiches. Will definitely be coming back with my kiddos as well.
