When my husband and I got to our room, the bathtub was dirty. We informed the front desk who said sometimes when the rooms next to us use the toilet and/or shower, ours backs up… They said they would send someone up to clean it but we were on our way to dinner so we told them to wait until we got back. When we got back to the room and the housekeeper came in, we went to look out the window while they cleaned the tub. We were talking and made a comment about how dirty the window was and then the housekeeper came out saying they were done. We thanked them and they left. Fast forward to 1:30 AM, we get woken up by the room next door. We could hear them talking on the phone and we could even hear the person they were talking to. We called the front desk to see if they could address it. They came up and talked to the other room but it didn’t do anything. A few minutes later, we could hear them again. We called the front desk again, who we talked to for a minute but then they hung up on us. We called back and asked if they hung up on us and they said “Yup” then hung up again. At this point, we were getting ready to go down there to talk to them when cops and security showed up at our door. We were then informed that the housekeeper from earlier reported that we threatened them. Which, as I explained the encounter previously, that NEVER happened. They then said that WE had to leave the hotel. At 1:30 in the morning! Needless to say, we will NEVER be staying at this hotel ever again. We did nothing wrong and yet we were the ones that got punished.
First, the front desk staff are amazing. Welcoming and professional. The place is nice and clean, with a good vibe. I have stayed here several times and had consistently good service. However, my last stay, soon after check in while working in my room, housekeeping attempted to enter my room without knocking. Luckily, I had the security lock in place, so they couldn't open the door completely, and luckily I wasn't changing clothes. I followed them out to the hall, and they explained they were told the room was vacant. I understand mistakes happen. However, the following day, I did not receive room service at all. These incidents are not typical, but frustrating just the same, and thus the reason I gave a 4/5 rating.
It's got nice rooms, very nice beds, and was clean for the most part. Behind the nightstand was actually a little nasty, it didn't look like it was cleaned for awhile. Other than that though I enjoyed my stay. Personally thought it was a bit overpriced for the way you basically have to pay for everything from the water in the room, to a good wifi connection, and watching any channels that aren't your local basic cable channels. If they just ensured the rooms were entirely clean, gave actual free wifi that was good like even less expensive hotels do and their people were more helpful it could definitely be at the very least a 4 to 4.5 star hotel in my opinion.
We recently stayed Christmas night, loved the buffet. That being said we have had nothing but errors and charges upon charges that are unexplained and have not been refunded. We stay in this hotel at least twice a month and have never had issue. Sadly we have a stay this coming Monday that we may cancel and never stay again. The management at this hotel is going down quick!
Really enjoyed my stay here. As a businessman who travels often, the staff here are very courteous, friendly, and amenable to my needs which are value, quiet, workspace, focus, and with enough tech options for me to work from either my room or the business area. They just make it very easy to be a business person on the go. Thank you guys for excellent service!
