Western Inn Motel

I'm staying here tell Sunday. I have stayed at a lot of hotels and motels over the years and there's been maybe a handful of motels and hotels that had beds that were actually comfortable but not both comfortable beds and actually soft pillows combined with friendly service and decent rates. I used to be a critic back in the day but critics are highly appreciated and at the same time hated so I quit being a critic because I didn't like so much hate directed my way. That being said, I give 5⭐'s all across the board for comfort. And 1⭐ for possible food options because their in room menu I have been informed they no longer offer so you must seek food options elsewhere.

No air conditioning unit. Pretty sure there isn't even a TV in the rooms and the beds had plastic covers on them as if we were toddlers trying not to pee the bed. Needs major remodel to be worth half of what I paid for the room.

Very nice front desk staff and comfortable and clean, but slightly outdated room. Pet friendly was a huge plus, we paid an extra $10 to have our cat stay with us. Showerhead was leaky. Cute little balcony would have been nice for a morning coffee. Was very excited in the morning to find they had almond milk for my cereal. A bit off the thruway (about a mile), but we navigated and parked a 22 foot truck with car in tow without issue.

I booked a room after being stranded from our car breaking down. The room was nice and staff was too. However the room got double booked and at 4:30 in the morning two gentleman walked in on my husband two kids and I. I asked for my money back in the morning and they said they would give it back. She then also told me she saw that there had been smoking on the balcony (I was unaware that we couldn't and talked to her and she said that was fine just don't anymore and she wouldn't charge) a week after staying I got charged for the room. I then called and was informed the managers decision was to Charge us for the room and not for smoking. When I was originally told that is was a warning no more smoking and no charge and money back. Then was also informed they had to refund the rooms in both sides of us because we were then up and "loud" on the balcony until 6 am. I said yes we were up and apologizing to the men who felt terrible for walking in on us. She said sorry but we will not refund the room. If we do then we will charge for the smoking.... Just felt unsafe and management accommodated everyone else in the matter except us. I realize that yes we did smoke on the balcony but she said there would be no charge and the room would be refunded and now it has changed. Ugh

I recently booked a room online for me and my wife. We got a pickup service from the motel. When we reach the motel, it was clean though not a big one. The staffs were helpful and the room was clean and neat. we had a good night sleep and a nice breakfast in the morning. Over all good and will come again when in billings.
