Car was great once we got one that worked. This review is about the service not the car. I had several issues with the rental. The long wait to get a car was expected. However, we had to sign pictures of the car without seeing it, even after taking the full insurance they offer. Then, when the original car had an issue, they gave me another car and no pictures to sign. Returning the car was worst. Stood in line for 30 minutes. Will not rent from this location again.

HORRIBLE. This company rented us a car with a defective tire- which we did not catch until 10 minutes after driving off lot. Thinking the tire simply needed re-inflation, we re-inflated the tire and drove off to our destination. Tire kept losing pressure and needed reinflation; had to be replaced. Discount REFUSED TO REIMBURSE COST OF REPLACING THEIR DEFECTIVE TIRE.!!! They conducted an "investigation" and determined that- in the 10 minutes since leaving their lot, something must have happened. Physically impossible, and biased investigation. Filing a complaint with Quebec consumer protections. THIS COMPANY WILL TRY TO STICK IT TO YOU!!!! [On the positive side of the balance sheet- courteous employees at the Dorval branch]

Echoing the reports of horrible service! I rented here due to what looked like a good deal online. What a trap! The rental location is NOT at the airport and the shuttle took half an hour to come pick me up. Then, despite having a reservation it took over an hour and a half MORE to get my car -- being over two hours after my reservation time, I missed an appointment but was told there was nothing they could do. They gave me a huge, gas-guzzling SUV when I'd reserved a city-friendly compact and told me it was an "upgrade" -- which I never asked for and didn't want. I suspect they just didn't have the car I'd requested, since everything about their operations are entirely disorganized. A surprise fee for driving to the US was the last straw. Don't trust the deals -- this place is way understaffed and jerks its customers around with absurd wait times and hidden fees.

While this agency offers a good value their service is terrible and they blame everything on their website and the websites they are associated with. I was able to make my reservation for 10pm and told to call the number to be picked up by the shuttle when I arrived. We called no later than 10:01 and there was no answer and no other way to reach a customer service representative. Because their site says they are a division of Enterprise we tried to check out with Enterprise but they stated no association with this company and could not help us as all their cars were spoken for. We finally found out that Discount closes at 10 and we would therefore have to wait until the next day to pick up our car. The next day while checking out our rental vehicle we discovered that we would be charged for the previous evening because of how "the system counts hours and days" even though when we booked online we saw it would have been a cheaper price to book on that day. The car was clean and we had no problem with the actual automobile but while we were returning the vehicle we saw another man having problems with his pick up because of similar issues and the company didn't seem to be helping him. If you have the time and energy to deal with potential problems and really need to save on money, this place is near the airport and has cars. But if you're looking for a no worries situation book somewhere else! All of the on-site car rental companies we're very nice and helpful when we were trying to rent from them last minute.

Thought it was situated in the airport (walking distance) but disappointed to find out we had to take a shuttle and it's outside the airport. Being flustered trying to find where to go, forgot our iPad in the trolley..... Lost iPad :(
