Why is this AVIS location Montreal Airport YUL always making their customers wait for over an hour or two to pick up their reserved car. They never have any honest answer. They basically want you to cancel even though you have zero other options.nnThis site should be investigated by Avis Corporate and get rid of the manager. They obviously know how many people have reserved cars. Please don’t blame the weather, this is Montreal and they have snow all the time.nnAt least 30 people waiting for cars as I write this review.

Unreliable car and INCAPABLE OF OFFERING A REPLACEMENT OR A SOLUTION.nnAvis Montreal ruined our entire family weekend. We picked up a car for a Quebec getaway that refused to start on Saturday morning. From 11 AM to 5 PM, we were on the phone with Avis, being told we’d have to pay for towing ourselves—no solution in sight. With no help from Avis, we scrambled to rent another car in Quebec, a process that took until 7 PM, completely wrecking our plans.nnTo add insult to injury, Avis then tried to charge us an arbitrary fuel fee based on their guess of how much we supposedly drove from Montreal to Quebec in the dysfunctional car they left behind for towing on Monday. When we pointed out how insane this was, they acted like we’d left the lights on overnight, and it was our fault.nnWe weren’t just handed a broken car; we lost valuable family time while being forced to fight for basic service. Despicable.

The staff at the counter were as helpful as they can be. However, that doesn’t help the fact that many of their customers, including myself, who have PRE-BOOKED, PREPAID and PRE-CHECKED online had to wait in line to be checked then wait another 30-45 minutes to be allocated a car. What is the point of doing all that if it doesn’t even help to ensure availability of a car!!!!!! Avis has been in business for a long time g time and one would think that they would have come up with a better system to do this.

We were able to quickly pick up our car and it was clean and a nice driving experience. Staff at pick-up and drop-off were friendly and helpful. The trouble began when we were charged a different price on our credit card from what our receipt said. Hours spent on the phone, and still no resolution. We will be submitting a chargeback through our credit card, which will hopefully rectify the situation. This is unfortunate since it was otherwise a positive experience.

We had three cars reserved at 0730, when we got there they said they had already given them to other clients and that we had to wait. After two and a half hours of waiting they said that we could not take the cars without a physical credit card, they refused to call the manager and wouldn't offer any type of retribution. The desk attendant was rude and unhelpful.
