Clean store, everything is tidy and stocked. I only bought some water and snacks but produce looks fresh and offer good prices. I will definitely come back if I am nearby
Decent for budget groceries, but don’t expect top-tier service or spotless aisles.nI’ve shopped at Darren’s NOFRILLS a few times when I needed essentials on a budget. Prices are good, especially for produce and pantry basics, but the store can feel cramped and a bit chaotic during peak hours. Some shelves are messy or understocked, and I’ve had to double-check prices at checkout due to mismatches with flyers. Staff are hit or miss—some helpful, others seem rushed or uninterested. It’s fine if you know what you need and want to save money, but not my go-to for a pleasant shopping experience
Great No Frills location - but what happened to the storefront/signage? It's now a dark grey facade with a large black maple leaf ... I liked the warm and welcoming nature of the usual yellow/red/white No Frills branding!
The renovation making the shopping experience worse - especially the huge TV!nnNow I walk in and feel stressed. There is a huge TV blasting ads at you, with the noise from the TV competing against the store radio. The whole experience feels like being hit with those intrusive 2000s pop-up ads whenever you try to open a webpage.nnThe worst thing is that you cannot ignore it. It keeps flashing at the side of your eye while you are trying to do your shopping.nnI am hoping they get rid of it.
This was a class act No Frills tucked away in our Highpark/Junction area.nWith out warning the store has been turned into a warehouse.Packed to the brim. Can you throw anymore products in?nI feel sorry for the employees having to stock so much product. Not fair.nGovernment fridges making it cold and the shopping experience ruined.Organic lost. Too bad.Quality instead quantity is always a better shopping experience. Sad.
