Staff in the store are very nice and helpful. It could definitely do with some updates.. as the space and aisles are not utilized particularly well, often way too cramped to travel through. And a much better job needs to be done with stocking the produce section.
I'm glad we have an affordable grocer in the neighbourhood. Sometimes not so affordable - prices have been climbing a lot. However, the main downside for me is that it only stocks basic items. If I want rolled cabbage leaves or sesame oil, I need to make a trip to another grocer.nnClearly, there are some issues with how the food is stored before it goes on the shelf. I bought hummus yesterday, and there is MOLD on it, despite the best before date still being 10 days out.nnAlso, I have seen dairy items that are on shelves beyond their best before date - not a risk one should take with dairy.nnLastly, please get some more of the baskets with wheels.
Although the staff here are great, it’s hard to believe that this sorry excuse of a supermarket could possibly get worse but, gosh darn, Anthony’s done it!nShelves regularly bare and unstocked, Seems like he’s fired most of his stockers since he’s taken over. Bread, cheese, dairy products consistently moldy or well past their best before date. Regular items like coffee, juices, and frozen foods remain unavailable for weeks at a time!nMy family refers to this No Frills as “No Foods”!
Decent and friendly staff so I'll give you 2 stars instead of one.nnI've been shopping here for a year now and somehow each month one of the items I regularly buy goes up in price by a dollar, often a 20-40% price increase well above the actual rate of inflation. Shelves are often poorly stocked, with staple goods like bread and cheese outright gone certain days I go mid-afternoon so wouldn't expect bare shelves. As well, there are almost never baskets or carts available, and multiple times I've had to wait by the checkout lanes to grab a basket from another customer who's checking out. I understand this is a discount store and can accept a worse shopping experience, id expect discount prices to go along with it, which isn't the case. There's cheaper independent shops butchers, bakeries, fruit markets nearby and if you're able to you should go there instead.
you people are disgusting, vile wretched excuse for human beingsnni along with several others witnessed a homeless man being detained at your exit for what you believed was shoplifting, you surrounded him, store manager and two security goons, and started grabbing at his bag and arms as he panicked and over what???? one item that was probably under 10$ ????nnno one watching was agreeing with you, everyone was saying let him go!!nnOntario food, tax and rent are out of control and more and more people are facing extreme poverty or homelessness and you know it - and you need to be a hero to corporate who are robbing us on a daily basis ??nnwhat the hell is wrong with you soulless garbage people?nyou waste more food on a daily basis and have enough damage happen that you could have easily wrote this off but you instead you need to play out some authoritarian fantasy like you're a cop?nnI live 3 mins walk from you and have been shopping with you for three years now.ni will go out of my way to walk to Dufferin to shop at your more expensive competitors moving forward given the disgusting display i and others witnessed.nnyou just lost hundreds of dollars a month over what looked like a bag with a few bananas in it.nnyou people are vile and i hope you lose your jobs so you know what that poor man was going through.ni wish i had taken pics to post here .nnrot in hell.
