Hands down the best sushi in Edmonton. We have ordered from here so many times and are never disappointed. It’s truly amazing quality. There isn’t an item I would not try on their menu because I trust them to make everything perfect.
I got the Futomaki and 3oz of Japanese plum wine over ice. I wish I had a bigger stomach so I could try everything on the menu. I love the atmosphere and sitting at the bar by the kitchen was really cool. I was able to sit and read a book with my AirPods in while waiting for the food, the wait wasn’t long at all though! I would and will recommend this spot to any foodie : I’m not from the Edmonton area but I guarantee I’ll come back for this spot alone
Went for lunch and highly recommend! They have an extensive menu and the service was great! We had the truffle edamame as started. We got the pressed salmon sushi 10/10 it was very flavourful and just falls apart in your mouth. We also got the perfect crime from the special roll section and it had the perfect amount of spice! The tonkatsu ramen you can get it spicy or regular and we got it spicy and it was a bit too spicy for me but still delicious. I think this will be my regular sushi spot!
Edmonton is lucky to have such a stellar izakaya. Every single dish we had was amazing. The staff was friendly, efficient and attentive. The space was very clean, and easy to maintain space between parties. Some of the best sushi I've had in years! Thank you Damso
Great Izakaya ambience and would come again if drinking or hanging out with larger group of friends. Food was decent and above average for Edmonton, however portions and pricing definitely on smaller and pricer end - price for the great ambience I suppose.
Walked by here on a walk with my girlfriend, the interior was very beautiful so we decided to dine here. Now the dishes are a little more expensive so be willing to spend! Each dish is plated quite nicely, and the sashimi tasted fresh. The food was wonderful, but the carbonara udon was good but was not as great as I thought it would be. The portion is great, but the carbonara sauce had an okay taste but an odd texture, and looked like it had tiny little egg whites. But other than that, the rest of the meal was good! I will recommend to anyone who loves Japanese cuisine and has some money to spend, it has an amazing atmosphere and make sure to checkout the displays around the restaurant as well!
This Japanese restaurant looks small, you could walk by without noticing it don't miss it as it's awesome. Started with a non alcoholic kajuka mango cider from Japan. Excellent menu many choices very reasonable priced. We had various sushi rolls very well made super tasty. Can't wait to return.
Good service, delicious food! Only not 5 stars because I've had some top tier Japanese food to compare it to, but I 100% recommend it if you like Japanese food.
Japanese izakaya with a cool looking interior. Food is tasty but the portions are rather small. Would really recommend the yakitori tamago as it's pretty special and unique. Worth a try!
Summary: Nice presentation, friendly service, food was only ok. The izakaya items were pretty good but the sushi was not great. Enjoyed beef tataki, miso soup and a platter of 3 appetizers. Rolls were tasty too. Unfortunately the deluxe 12pc sushi for >$40 did not have many good types of fish as shown in pic. Also found a large bone in the negitoro maki.
