Kyoto Japanese Cuisine

For a restaurant like this the prices were unexpectedly reasonable. My huge bowl of rice and beef curry cost 14.50 which I thought was pretty good. The restaurant was well decorated with Japanese cultural symbols, paintings and calligraphy on the walls. I think the food was not exceptional, but it was good especially after considering the price. The staff are friendly, too.

It was a spontaneous visit to Kyoto and it didn't disappoint. Staff was friendly and helpful with our food choices. The portion and prices were surprisingly reasonable. The restaurant was tastefully decorated. Looking forward to return and trying some of the other items on the menu. Make sure you register your car licence. That's it! Overall a very good experience.

I think this place is highly underrated. I also have an inkling that those who rate it low are typically just sour, unhappy people who don't find joy in anything. Lol. Truth. Yes, as many of the other reviews say great price. Also, the ambience is wonderful. I did go during a quieter time of day but I still think if it had been a busier time of day, it would have felt harmonious. The food was delicious. The wait staff were incredibly friendly, caring and considerate. I highly recommend this place.

Fast friendly service. Unpretentious, on a small strip mall, pleasant decor and good food at a good price. Definitely come again place. I had a bentonite box, 3 choices and rice, salad , soup. Servings were generous.Food: 5/5

This salad, I think you can do better than this a slice of cucumber, a slice of tomato and some raisins??? Also I love fruits, but i just find it weird to have fruits in bento box. The broth of the vegetable udon noodles taste like a beef broth cubes or reminded me of instant beef noodles from Asian market. Also the vegetables were over cooked.

My children enjoyed the tempura, they have a great maki and tasty soup you have to register your car plate number before you can dine in

Great lunch bentos! I got bento B with sashimi and tempura. Got 7 thick slices of sashimi. Comes with with miso soup and rice, salad, a deep fried salmon side with sweet chili sauce, tempura is very crispy with mix of shrimp and veggies all for $14! I was also craving their negitoro and chop chop maki! Maki rools were both $4.50!! So good! Will be back for more :

Got take out the other night and it was so good! Very generous with the portions and can choose 3 different items for the bento box all day item, most restaurants only have it for lunch. Sushi is really good and rice has authentic seasoning. Tempura batter wasn’t too heavy. Definitely coming back!

It's nice small place to enjoy Japanese cuisine! The service was not bad and our food came out exquisite for how much it was. A nice cheaper alternative to expensive Japanese restaurants. Their prices aren't blown up like other Japanese restaurants so this place is highly recommended for people that are into Japanese cuisine or those who want to try it. It's not pricey at all, the food is amazing, and the service was not bad at all! Try out the bento boxes they have It's a combination of 3 items of your choice!

I love this restaurant because food is always fresh, good portions and the best of all is tasty for the price . Prices are really reasonable in times of inflation. One of our favourites. Friendly staff, good decoration all good
