We were craving sushi and it was about 8:45. There weren’t a lot of options but noticed this location has extended hours so we gave it a shot. When we got there we quickly decided on Gyoza, spring rolls and dragon eye rolls to start. They were tasty! Could have come with more wasabi. Ended up getting several different orders of rolls. The baked salmon roll was the best. Overall cool little place to grab some sushi.
If you have one night at Edmonton and it is not a Tuesday, come and take a Unagi Don at Kabuki ask for a spoon for an even better experience. You won’t regret it! I have been travelling around the world, but can never forget the taste of Unagi here. Strongly recommend! ——Customer since 2015.
We like Japanese food and I love tempura. If your restaurant make good tempura then of course 5 stars from me!
Waited more than an hour for food to come to table. Never have had such slow service at a sushi restaurant. Considering we were the only people there at the time. Also, the food is very overpriced considering it is mediocre sushi at best. It is apparent they prioritize skip the dishes orders over in house guests.
regularly dine in and order take out and honestly my favourite sushi place in edmonton by far!! great portions and the fish and ingredients are always fresh!
Always great food for a reasonable price. Open later than any other sushi location for dine in. Perfect for a late spontaneous night out. Highly recommend the blazing unagi.
I ordered on a Friday night, ’s were not bad… I ordered deep fried soft crab thinking it would be amazing, here it came in a package saying soft crab salad, which was a deceptive order according to the menu… I try my best to be an optimist, but when I opened up the dynamite roll I ordered, I did find some filler rice in my roll, and to add to that I found imitation crab meat… I have a disgust for California Rolls, it’s the reason why I only order the dynamite rolls… I would be totally fine with my roll being small, if it contained avocado, cucumber, and tempura shrimp… that makes me happy. With absolutely, no imitation crab meat… I like real crab meat Did not reach my standards
The appetizer came near the end of the meal but that's about the worst of it. Totally worth the visit! Beautiful rolls, friendly service, dancing bonito flakes on my beef yaki, and probably the best miso soup I can remember having!
I’m here to refute the claim that there are rice noodles in their rolls. We came in on a Wednesday night because there weren’t many places open past 11 pm. My husband and I were a little hesitant after reading all these horrible reviews. First and foremost, the miso soup included with the meal was not only free, but also carried a lot flavour. I would’ve preferred it scalding hot, but it was still enjoyable none the less. The salmon sashimi was sooo good. It’s the one thing we consistently order at sushi restaurants and it was not only a decent price, it was a decent portion. The chicken karaage we could’ve done without. Then we had the crazy boy rolls. They did appear to have some string-like ingredients, but honestly it must’ve been a form of imitation crabmeat because it sure tasted like it. It also didn’t have the same texture as rice noodles Have you ever had fresh noodles? It was truly not the same.. Anyway, it would be a lot of work to use rice noodles to stuff rolls. Why not just use more rice? Lastly, service was really good and the food came out quickly. Try this place out for yourself like we did. I would come back for the sashimi. Edit: Some other reviewer suggested that I was paid to write this review. That would’ve been great, but nope, didn’t get paid. Also, I haven’t been back, but I would be interested in trying this place again and do a better inspection of the “rice noodles” in the rolls.
Open late. Food is tasty. Atmosphere - great especially at 24:30.Food: 5/5
