Dalles House Motel

Rooms are mediocre at best. Not clean, the shower dripped a puddle on the bathroom floor. The beds are nothing special. One room I stayed in had a crack in the window frame and was full of bugs. A lot of the rooms have a weird smell.

I tried to cancel the room prior to checking in,,,, Because we didn't need it. We ended up paying anyway. Seems because I booked, on line, I needed to cancel, on line. I couldn't cancel,,,,face to face. That doesn't make a whole hell of a lot of scene! To me. Or is it me? 1 star because it looked OK from the outside

Outdated hotel for the price we paid ($93). Breakfast was medicore, the hot food gone by the time we arrived with 10 mins left of breakfast but we did grab some coffee. The room wasnt overly comfortable but did serve the purpose of sleeping which we needed since we were in town for a wedding. For the price, I'd recommend a different hotel.

In a region with not many motels, Dalles House does the trick. Our room had some outdated decor, but we slept comfortably. Continental breakfast was sufficient but slightly less impressive than your average Super 8 or Days Inn.

We booked Friday and Saturday to stay here. The room had garbage and bugs. We talked to front desk asking if we could just get refunded Saturday, and she refused, and said we were pretty much lying about garbage and bugs. When we asked to talk to a manager she said no. Extremely rude. Won't be returning. Went down the road and stayed at the holiday inn. WAAAAAY BETTER.
