River Valley Inn & Suites

This is the first bad review I've written in 3 years. We travel a lot and we are not afraid of affordable hotels, motels. But this place is pretty ridiculous. They charged us the most and gave us the least out of anywhere we've ever stayed. I don't think they've updated anything since 1993 and the king size bed we had felt like we were sleeping on a table with a blanket over it. On top of that there was no hot water for a shower and the TV speakers were blown. Essentially they can overcharge because there's limited lodging in the area and it's a high tourist location. If you can find a $60 a night motel you'll get the same quality. If you can find somewhere else to stay, do it.

This place is TERRIBLE. we went there and the room we had wasn't even cleaned. Unmade bed and beer cans everywhere and SPIT still in the sink from the previous people. Second room we got was STILL NOT CLEAN it had food and pop everywhere. Then when we went to get a 3rd room we actually asked for a upgrade for inconvenience or to get our money back and they said no! AND the 3rd room we got was not even what we ordered it had one bed and a pull out couch and what we ordered was a two queen. It smelled and the bed crunched when it was sat on! We used the room to change and leave and we checked out and he still didn't do anything about giving us our money back. Never go here ever!

After hearing what my boyfriend and his two daughters went through last night at this place, I felt compelled to write a review. This place doesn't deserve a star at all, if I could choose negative stars I would. Coming from the customer service and hospitality industry I'm beyond disgusted that you people conduct business the way you do. After reading the reviews of thievery, bed bugs, uncleanliness and poor customer experiences all around, I'm amazed you people are still in business!!!! For people to check in to 3 different rooms and for all of them to be filthy disgusting, and not what they had originally wanted, and then to charge them when they didn't stay the night blows my mind. HOW CAN YOU CHARGE A ROOM RATE IF THEY DIDNT STAY THE NIGHT. For my boyfriend to not get his money back after dealing with what he had to deal with and then to not even stay the night is absolutely ridiculous. Your so called "management/ownership" is a complete joke and you people are an embarrassment to the industry. Do everyone a favor and shut your doors for good!!!

My wife and I stayed here for a night the week after our wedding, thinking it was a perfect spot in a sleepy town, we wanted to hike through the falls the next day. Let me tell you - don't stay here unless you're okay with the idea of being charged $50.00 for them to wash the sheets after your stay. It's not even like these were pristine rooms... god forbid you spill anything, you'll be charged for it. I would give a NEGATIVE stars review if I could. Zero stars.

Great experience! Staff was EXCELLENT, VERY ATTENTIVE! Had 6, 9 year old girls for a birthday party & the manager was VERY accommadating & helpful! Would stay here again in a HEARTBEAT!
