It was my first experience coming to this restaurant and it was a first impression that has now set the standard of service to a whole new level for me. I was blown away by how well the entire team of staff worked together to make such a great experience for the entire restaurant filled with people! The service was silent, suave, and romantic. Every move was carefully made to cater to their guests. It was done effortlessly. The ambience was so unique with live music and incense, fresh eucalyptus as a part of their table setting. It was such a stunning restaurant in general. It was hard not to be in awe! On top of all of that, I’d like to give a spotlight to our server Marcello. He went above and beyond for us. He was so patient with our indecisiveness, he was so flexible and accommodating with our party of five women. He made excellent recommendations, he knew exactly how to guide us towards a great experience with the food and drink pairings. Everything he recommended to us was excellent and he always went out of his way to get to know us and really give us personable service. He was outstanding!
Really enjoyed my dining experience last night. Everything about it was an *experience* - loved the ambiance, the decor, the overall vibe. Our server as well as all the staff were extremely attentive. Although the meals are pricey and the portions small, the quality of ingredients used definitely came through. Really enjoyed the unique flavor pairings in both the dishes and cocktails.
I came here with one of my friends for my birthday and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Now to be very honest, the food is amazing but it’s also expensiveI guess cause it’s located in downtown. Why I gave this place five stars is really because of the outstanding customer service. I came here on a booked reservation and was seated with my friend asap. My server was Steve and he was excellent. The service was just so efficient where we received our food quickly. Steve, our waiter, was so patient, charismatic and welcoming, it really made our whole experience here so much better. The. customer service here is really the best I’ve ever experienced. The ambience was very nice and the food was wonderful. Every penny I spent here was honestly worth it and I am very satisfied with the service here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!!!!
This is exactly what Toronto needed! An experience; more than just going out for food and drinks. Live Dj with violinist playing along was super cool. At first I didn’t like the loudness but it definitely grew on me. Loved it by the end of the night. Our server Rachel was lovely and super personable. She definitely helped guide our experience. Definitely bringing friends here!
Celebrated our anniversary here, the ambiance was perfect for the occasion. The service was top notch, a special shout-out to Lina for taking such good care of us, we enjoyed all of her recommendations, she really took the time to review both the food and drink menus with us and answered all of our questions. The food was incredible, filling, fresh tasting, great flavors, with beautiful presentations. Thank you for the memorable experience!!
My friend and I visited Casa Madera this past Saturday, and it was one to remember. To start off, the decor and atmosphere is amazing. We loved all of the plants and the smell that was throughout the restaurant and hotel lobby was phenomenal. Our server was Marcelo, and he might have honestly been the best server I've ever experienced. He was engaging, attentive, and really knew how to tell a good story. He was 10/10 and we would come back again just to see him! However, the whole experience would bring us back. The cocktails and food were made with such detail, and tasted and looked beautiful. The scallop is a must try, as well as the duck carnita tacos.
Casa Madera is Toronto’s newest restaurant. Location is nestled in the middle of the City’s downtown Restaurant district of King West on the main level of 1 Hotel. The dim lighting provides a beautiful calm ambience. The musicians and the dancers add a subtle entertainment vibe. There are specialty cocktails that are lit on fire as part of the scene. These drinks are tailored around nature. Earth, wind, fire and water. Top chef prepares exquisite variety of dishes from raw menu, to fresh farm to table vegetables salads, spicy hummus with fresh oven baked pita and mushrooms and black truffle risotto for vegetarians. And peanut butter and chocolate desert was delicious. Only one recommendation for management is to server more then a quarter quantity of wine per glass.
We ordered a bunch of food, my highlight was the octopus and hamachi. Both so good. All the tacos, and cocktails we tried were mind blowing amazing too! Definitely will be back here soon. I believe our server was Jonathan, he was the nicest, and gave the best recommendations ever! 10/10
Casa Madera really transports you to a warmer place. The overall design of the restaurant from the walnut panelling, to the warm and romantic lighting, as well as perfectly placed greenery really made the ambiance worth visiting. There was also a live guitarist playing alongside some tech house—that also wasn’t too loud. We went for a date night dinner, and the food was not only delicious, but was also beautifully presented. This was also the first place I’ve tried octopus that wasn’t rubbery kudos to the chef. One other thing I noticed was the restaurant was well staffed. Our glasses were topped up with water before we even knew they were empty. 100% recommend to try this place, if not only once.
The service here was excellent but was disappointed by the wine list and lack of flavour in the tacos and cocktails. The rest of the dishes were much better, and the steak was served with a flavourful sauce that we dipped everything in. Desserts were massive our server recommended we share one, which was probably the right decision but we couldn't help but get two!, and absolutely outstanding. Hands down the highlight of the evening. The cocktails are inventive and Instagram-worthy, especially with some of the table-side preparations. However, in terms of pure flavour I wasn't impressed.
