Fabulous gym and stellar staff. The sheer real estate sprawl is the first thing you notice, then the scale of all the various equipment and paraphernalia available. Water fountains at every turn. The spinning studio is like an auditorium and the two or three yoga and exercise studios are like halls. The showers are spacious and convenient, although lockers could use a more intelligent numbering and locking mechanism. I signed up for a personal trainer — there wasn’t any pressure from the gym at all — and found Sean G. I’ve been so lucky. He is both patient and knowledgeable, and has taken the time to understand what my body needs. He’s tailored a program that has started to show immediate visual difference in less than three months, but I also feel much better during the day. He also knows his nutrition! All in all, the magnificent facilities and the thoughtful setup of the gym in this downtown location make it a super decision for me. I genuinely don’t understand what some reviewers are lamenting. It’s a great place with amazing prices for all that it offers.

Josh is a great personal trainer! I’m 70 and wanted to get into better shape so I can be still mobile as I get older! Josh personalized a program to help me achieve my goals. I think his knowledge as a physiotherapist really helped in designing a program that was safe and effective for me! Unfortunately, I was not able to attend as often as I wanted to but we both saw an improvement! He was always very encouraging. He kept gently pushing me to try to achieve more! He was very interested to see me keep improving. He also sent me emails with the details so that I knew what to do when I was on my own. Crunch Fitness is a great fitness facility! Everyone is very friendly and willing to help. The facility has a great variety of equipment and is extremely clean. It is also great that they have physiotherapists on-site so that the personal trainers can communicate any issues with them and vice versa. Arlene

Crunch has completely run the place into the ground. New management has implemented vicious cost-cutting tactics and replaced well-trained staff with mind-numbingly, incompetent invalids who need to learn a thing or two about customer service. For starters, the attendees at reception have no idea what is going on half the time. They are constantly out of towels, guest cards and are always flustered over anything and everything. The entire gym is inundated by rude employees who OPENLY gossip about clients and each other. Secondly, original Hard Candy/Aura members are paying a premium price to access the gym while Crunch is advertising membership starting at $20/month. Beware of this low cost because each tier of their new membership includes hidden fees and restrictions!! You will not be able to access the turf area and the equipment between peak gym hours 2-8PM because the new rule instates that only members who purchase "private session" are allowed to use this area. Lastly, make sure to document EVERYTHING in writing when you are looking to cancel your membership. Crunch will do everything to keep charging you!! From making up maintenance costs of $50 that pop up randomly to evading your calls/emails to enforcing a 60-day notice cancellation policy. Their manager John is the biggest liar of all on this front, don't believe any of the nonsense he tells you. All of it is fabricated!! Make sure you read your contract and terms/conditions thoroughly if you are looking to leave, don't let them steal your money!

Great gym and friendly staff! I started working with Ben about year ago after a car accident and his patience and personal approach have been a huge help with my recovery. He always has something new to offer in our sessions and ensures I work up to my potential. I highly recommend Ben to anyone looking for an awesome personal training experience and professionalism.

I don't get all these bad reviews. This is a very good, large spacious gym with very nice equipment that is never crowded. Like ALL gyms, there are things that will start to bother you after a while. You can quit and go to another gym and a different set of things will drive you nuts and you'll come back and have to repay your deposits. I will say that this place isn't as good as it was when I first joined one year ago, it just doesn't have the same feeling. There was a problem with them playing obscene rap music. They do need to clean the windows and filthy out side glass railings, and get rid of the weeds growing along the balconies by the cardio equipment, there was even a couple of pigeon nests there and all sorts of garbage that has fallen from balconies. But I heard that is the responsibility of the condo. But the gym itself is as clean as these places can be. I've never seen dirty or broken equipment. There's always a few members who don't respect the gym, but you get that everywhere. Most of the members are OK. Check in: Feb. 2018: they have started a very cheap membership drive $9.90 a month, and now the gym is like going to a high school, very few people are over 22 years old, most have never been in a gym in their lives and are leaving equipment all over the floors and walking on mats as though they're carpets, and not observing proper gym etiquette. Sitting on equipment for 25 minutes or longer, playing on phones when others are waiting to use it. A lot of people wearing inappropriate outfits that they should have thought twice about wearing, both males and females...you should know who you are....The entire atmosphere has changed for the worse. It's gone a lot like Hone Fitness up the street. Why have hundreds of members for cheap rates when you can have less members who pay a higher fee?
