Courtyard by Marriott Elmira Horseheads

It was a good hotel. Staff was friendly, the room was clean and smelled good. The bed was soft and the pillows were fluffy. The shower was hot and the soap smelled good. The towels were clean and fluffy. The room was great. My only issue was that they don’t provide a free breakfast. You have to pay for it and a simple bowl of oatmeal was $7. So the price is pretty steep. And they don’t leave out coffee 24/7. I tend to be an early riser, usually up around 4:30 and like to sit in the lobby reading with coffee while I wait for the world to wake up. But they don’t serve coffee until 6:30. There was coffee in the room, which was okay. But I didn’t want to wake up my son. So, other than that it was a great stay. Thank you!

I can't say enough about the front desk staff! When the place we had originally booked basically turned us away, we went across the road to the Courtyard and they put us up in very nice rooms and even beat the original price! THANK YOU! To the woman at the front desk, who even called my 81yr old mom a young lady! LOLnnThe location was great and the rooms were very comfortable. We had no hot water for a day, though this wasn't the hotels fault, and they offered to compensate with free breakfast, but we were already heading out. Water was back by the time we returned that nightnnThe pool was great and my son spent a lot of time in it!nnWhen heading to the area, don't waste you're time and stress with the hotel across the road which has well earned horrible reviews and atrocious service, book here!

Really good place for race fans at Watkins Glen, only 23min drive to Gate 6. Hotel is clean, nice outside area with seating and fireplace. FD is very attentive, especially on weekends, I'll just say A. Bar is hit or miss, depending on who is working, one of bartenders had to look up how to make a drink in the book and mine was half the glass. Outback restaurant, short walk from hotel is good, skip Olive Garden.

Check in was supposed to be at 3 pm but the room wasn’t ready until 6 pm. With that said we got there at 5:30 and only had to wait 30 minutes. Hallway and room reeked of cannabis. Breakfast wasn’t provided. Shower didn’t drain well. The one redeeming point was the service from the young lady at the front. She had to service the bar/check-in/extra beds/towels for the pool. The location seems understaffed. Wouldn’t recommend this Courtyard, we stayed in a Holiday Inn Express the night before and had a much better experience.

The room wasn't in the best shape. Bathroom door that didn't lock, cleaning supplies left in the bathroom despite it not being fully cleaned, bathroom sink didn't drain immediately so had to use the shower for brushing teeth, washing face, and there was food left in the fridge. We were told it would get fixed, it never did :/. They were nice enough to comp us breakfast and two nights in our stay, but we were also told our bill would be in our email, so hopefully it wasnt lip service, so we have to see how that plays out. Staff is very friendly, food wasn't rushed and tasted great, and every attendant was super friendly and was always greeted with a smile. Service gets 5 stars hands down, the room maintenance in our instance was non existent. Will update if we have issues with a bill.
