Congee World

I went there when they first opened. it was quite a long wait so.i didn't get to try it. I finally tried the food. It was okay for the rice. I like the congee and the rice rolls. The staff there was nice. Since they just newly opened, I think they have rooms for improvement. I definitely will order the food there again.

It was just average HK style breakfast place. Nothing special. We went to try because it’s newly opened. The beef and pork rice roll noodle was okay, but could be better. Shrimp spring roll was nothing special. Congee was a bit salty to me but my husband had it okay. I gave 3star because for the price, it’s not too bad.

Decided to give this new place a try as Congee is one of my favourite food. It's nice to see more congee places are popping up in the area. As soon as we walked in the restaurant, we thought it was still under construction. Bunch of tables and chairs were piled up in the corner. The main lighting in the center were turned down, very dim. Not what you typically expect from a congee place. The owner spent absolutely zero dollar in renovating the place from the previous restaurant. Nothing was changed at all, including the dirty and dated washroom. Not a good impression to start off a meal. We had a party of six, tried four different congees, plain rice rolls, beef with chive rice rolls, fried radish cakes, veggies. I am said to say everything were below average. Congees were too watery. Ingredients are very cheap quality. Rice rolls were so so, they stuck some lettuce in the beef and chive rice rolls which makes it worse. Radish cakes were so so as well, it's weird that some of the radish cakes are very springy. Not sure what they used in them. For sure they didn't mix the batter throughly. Fried dough was not crispy. Prices for the food is not cheap for what you get. For example, $7 for a dish of boiled lettuce. Absolutely ridiculous. Service was not attentive. There were only 3 tables of customers, I had to yell across the room to get their attention for ordering food and getting the bill. This is probably the worse review I have written for years. I tried to think really hard for a reason to give them more than one star, but I couldn't come up with anything.

Service is ok only 2 waitresses. Ordered 2 congees and the dough stick rice noodle roll is average and food is taking a bit long to come out. Another thing that irritated me is their washroom which is disgusting.

The fish soup dumplings are giant, the soup is delicious & the rice rolls are big portions!! Must try

The food is about average but surprised to see low quality disposable chopsticks and take out containers for dine in.

A decent congee place that hits the spot! Their steamed rice noodles and congee were great and flavourful. Lots of preserved egg and pork in the congee that I ordered! The fried noodles and casserole rice dish was disappointing. The noodles lacked flavour and the rice dish was incredibly dry. I was expecting more of an authentic casserole rice dish but the rice was more so scooped out with a mix of crispy rice bits. I would not recommend anyone to order the rice dish…save your money!

Absolutely slow service. Old decor. The food was not worth the price. The congee was so thick and the sticky rice was microwaved and it was so difficult to eat. There weren't any good food choices. Tried it once, never coming back.

We went inside wanted try this new congee restaurant but quickly changed our mind. Door of main entrance looked dirty, still with sticker marks from previous restaurant and looked like it had not been cleaned for a long time. The dining room also had an unpleasant smell that we did not expect from a newly opened restaurant. Lots of room for improvement in terns of cleaniness.

We came here this afternoon. We noticed that they take over FireFly restaurant. It's the same decoration. Service is okay as only 2 waitresses serving. Food is okay although price on a slightly higher side however they have 30% off a new opening, that's makes it worth eating.
