Cineplex VIP Cinemas Don Mills

Similar to previous reviewers, there's a couple staff on a power trip. I ordered a large popcorn and some guy came with two popcorn's and didn't know which one was mine. Since it was my first time getting it in a bucket and not a bag I didn't realize he only gave me a regular size. Later he came back and was about to give me more items that I didn't order. This guy didn't know what was going on and it turned out he was the manager. After the movie I went to go get my free refill and the same guy was there and said I could only get the refill with a large which is what I ordered. I kept insisting that I had ordered and paid for a large but he seemed to just want to give me a hard time. He eventually told me he was the manager which is terrible for this place because it's a great venue. On top of all this he even brought me the wrong drink for my drink refill. It's such a shame this place can't just have someone give you what you pay for. Instead you have these clueless people managing the place and upsetting the guests.

I recently visited this cinema, and I have mixed feelings about the experience. Firstly, the service was disappointing. The servers who take orders seemed disinterested and unresponsive. I tried to get their attention twice before the movie started, but they simply ignored me.nnOne important tip: Arrive early if you plan to order food, because once the movie starts, ordering becomes impossible. Unfortunately, the food I ordered wasn’t very tasty, and the portions were small, plus it was quite expensive.nnOn the positive side, the atmosphere inside the cinema was pleasant, and the spacious seats are great for couples, even though they aren’t the most comfortable.nnIn summary, while the atmosphere and seating were good, the service and food left much to be desired. Hopefully, they can improve in these areas for a better overall experience because I didn’t feel anything about VIP.

It's a nice theater in a nice area. The seats were great. However, the bruschetta was horrible. Not fresh,small,soggy, and the balsamic tasted off. The wait time was a lot, and the server didn't bring sauce for chicken strips, which took almost as long as the food to come. Staff is unfriendly and unattentive. I wonder if the service and food quality reflect their pay because it definitely doesn't reflect the cost for patrons?

Food at the vip cinema was awful. They should either lower the price or stop selling crappy food. My sandwich looked like a joke. Just a few slices of pickles and a fried chicken. The sandwich was small and the fries were way toooooo small for $19.nnThe tacos on the other hand were good. However it was good only coz it was $5 for a taco on tuesdays. If not, it’s not worth the price.nnThe beer that was on tap was flat. Disappointing.nnFood came out very fast and staff were all very welcoming and kind.nnCan’t believe we paid $74 for a mediocre to almost bad food & drinks. ‍

I have been to this location many times without being ID’d. I am over 19 years old and forgot my ID once. They did not let me in because I did not have a physical ID. I understand there are problems with underage people sneaking in, but I came with friends who were over 19 and with physical ID. I had photos of my ID on my phone; will not be coming to this location again.
