Cineplex Cinemas Varsity and VIP

The VIP experience is completely fake!nnThe screen is small, the room doesn't have a good height so the heads of the people in front of you bother your image of the movie.nIt looks like you are in someone's house…nReally, it doesn't worth the price.nI'm never coming back!

I went to see Dune part 2, 70 mm here on Friday night March 15 2024 for the late show and it was chill as hell. The staff were really nice and it was a good location for a movie theatre. Everything seemed to be running like a tight ship, with the staff taking care of making sure everything was clean and people knew where to validate their parking, among a lot of other things! There was a tank of cool looking fish in the lobby. The only thing I would complain about is I wanted to leave and re-enter to have a smoke half way through a 3 hour movie but because the movie started at 9:30pm the whole place was locked up so of course there is no easy way to let people in and out, totally understandable, but it would be cool if they could figure out a system to let people out for things like having a smoke during the late show. thanks for everything.

They have a lot of screens, but the 70mm projection is not a 70mm IMAX, it's just a 70mm projection which is even smaller than Ultra AVX. So won't prefer going there for a great new release, it's fairly good to watch old re-releases.

I love this place, everything is so much better than other cineplexes. Recently saw Bradley Cooper's Maestro completely by myself great movie btw. There was nobody else in the theatre.

WORST VIP THEATER EVERnnYeah that’s a bit overdramatic but I got your attention…and it’s true.nnThe VIP theaters are tiny. You pay extra money for a compact seating area with no extra space. My seat was always being bumped by people walking in the aisle behind me. The seats are old and don’t appear to be cleaned very well.nnThe screen itself is small. It looks like someone’s private screening room and not a movie theater. Also the screen had a bunch of impurities and you could see them during the film so the image wasn’t always clear.nnThe server that took orders was nice but the girl bringing the food to people bumped into me a few times, and handed my food to me over my shoulder which was awkward.nnAnyways. Avoid this “VIP” theatre at all costs.
