Convenient location, fairly clean, but TERRIBLE SEATS.nnThe chairs are the worst part about this theatre and the only reason I don't see movies at this location anymore, even though it's the closest to my home.nnThe seats DO NOT recline back easily nor comfortably. I'm stuck for two hours, sitting perpendicular to the screen and it's UNCOMFORTBLE to sit for that long in that position. My back hurts by the end of it. The only way the chairs recline back is if you're overweight I've seen it. I've sat in almost every auditorium at this location and they're all the same. Please fix your seats.nnAlso, the VIP section is unlike other Cineplex locations. They are small rooms with small screens. You still get service, but it is really worth the price?nnHonestly, this location needs to be demolished and rebuilt.
One of my favourite cinemas for first-run movies. The staff is nice and efficient, the theatre and screening rooms clean, good sound for the size of the rooms. The only thing you have to look out for are entitled Baby Boomers who obviously don’t pay attention to the preshow message about theatre etiquette and talk at normal volume throughout the screening. One waited for us after we told them to be quiet, saying you can’t talk to people like that, and claimed of the screening, “It’s interactive!” I’m not sure if she was the one on her phone with the brightness up during the movie at least once. While there are some great interactive screening series in the city, most of or maybe all of the screenings here aren’t, and it would be lovely if certain entitled people respected the rest of us and the hard work of the workers at this theatre to provide us with great viewing experiences.
Fantastic location, good theatre but not many choices of movies. Totally different audience and lovely atmosphere
My partner and I went to watch Nosferatu at the 7pm showing last night. Two extremely intoxicated people came in about an hour in to the movie and one of them fell up the stairs twice on their way to find a seat. They talked the entire time, loudly argued over alcohol and continuously dropped things including a bottle of alcohol that spilled out all over the floor next to me. Multiple customer spoke up and asked them to be quiet as one of the intoxicated individuals yelled inappropriate things throughout the remainder of the film.nHowever, the worst part was when we were leaving the theatre after the film ended and my partner politely mentioned to a staff member that they should be aware that there were two very intoxicated individuals inside, we were concerned they would fall on the stairs because they continued to heavily drink during the movie and were already falling upon arrival. The staff member said “thanks I’ll get a manager”. My partner went to use the bathroom and I stood by the theatre waiting for him. The staff members must not have realized I was standing nearby and heard them speak condescendingly about my partner. The staff said “it’s Nosferatu, I’d be drunk too watching it” “they probably just talked during the movie, what are we supposed to do ban them?”. Among other condescending comments and they were speaking loudly in front of other customers. A young female employee was sent in to the theatre to check on the intoxicated guests/clean because they hadn’t left yet and she came out and said “they are sitting there talking, not acting crazy”. My partner never said they were “acting crazy” but employees should be aware when someone can’t even walk and could injure themselves/others by falling.nYes this is Toronto and things happen, but this was the 7pm showing on a Thursday evening. Not a 10pm showing on a Friday or Saturday. Going to a horror film also should not give a pass for people to be yelling through the film and intoxicated to the point they can’t walk properly. Overall an extremely uncomfortable and disappointing experience with the staff.
Great location, service by Izaak at the entrance receiving tickets was friendly, professional and efficient despite the number of people entering at the same time.nnThe theatre is clean. There is a wall at one end of the area with movie posters on what films were coming and showing which was pretty useful because I returned the week after to watch a movie which I saw posted on the wall.
