Casa mezcal has amazing drinks, margaritas and beers. The service was great and fast. However I wouldn’t go back for the after 12 DJ and dancing part; it isn’t busy at all and you have to pay a cover.Food: 5/5
Group of 2 kids and 2 adults. First time in Toronto for us and we wanted something different than fast food. Found this place after looking up several others Mexican restaurants in the area. As soon as we step inside we knew this was the place. The staff spoke Spanish and was very nice too. Very tasty food, we all ate with around 110 CAD.
The low rating is not an indictment of the food, as we really enjoyed what we had, rather it's a reflection of the service. Unfortunately the restaurant was obviously horribly understaffed to the point where we were waiting upwards of half an hour to pay our bill. We essentially lost our server once a large party came in for some sort of private event halfway through our meal.
One of the best Mexican rooftop patio bar with a amazing food options. We had the A La Diabla Shrimp and Fresh nachos, it was sooo yummy. The shrimp dish was my favourite, it was delicious and little spicy/hot. The ambience over the patio was perfect for a date, on a summer night. 100% recommend to you all.Recommended dishesChips and Guacamole
Rooftop patio has lovely vibe. Food is good and service is good, but it was noticeably upselling, could be toned town a bit. Happy hours are good to enjoy drinks!! Vegetarian options: Not much to choose for vegetarian, but available options do not disappoint.
This place is becoming my favourite hidden gem! The service is excellent and the food is phenomenal! My recommendations: Carne Asada tacos pictured Tinga Quesadillas, Gobernador tacos, The classic margarita finished with a shot of tequila.
This could be the worst service I have ever received in my 25 years on this earth, words cannot even describe how terrible this restaurant was, especially the service. Drinks took 20 minutes to arrive, food to 20 minutes and then another 20 minutes to arrive, some of which was completely forgotten. The tacos are way overpriced given their size, and the “Mexican sushi” is a disgrace to Japanese and Mexican food as a whole, not to mention 80% rice and 20% filling. Disgusting, overpriced, terrible. DO NOT COME HERE.
Have been trying to go here for ages but it’s always packed every time we’ve tried but got lucky and walked in for dinner. I was absolutely shook by their nachos - seriously so unexpected and so yummy! I can’t get over them and I have to say for the price it’s a bit steep when comparing to other places but definitely unique. The nachos get a 9.8/10 for me! The birria was a bit disappointing and tasted more like barbacoa/carne vs the juicy birria we know. But the consome helped a ton with the flavour - the tortilla was really good and fresh and made me excited to try their other tacos next time. Birria gets a 4/10 for me & consome gets a 7/10!
I went with a Mexican friend and she said it's the most authentic Mexican restaurant she's tasted in Canada thus far. We ordered the Chocoflan, the Molcajete Cielo Mar y tierra, the Michelada and the Guacamole and all were amazing. Real atmosphere and amazing service! HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
I had lunch here as it was close to my hotel. While I really like Mexican food, I found the food here to be just OK. Though the chips and guacamole were good, the enchiladas were pretty bland. There are definitely better places in Toroto to eat Mexican.Food: 3/5
