I brought my Mercedes CLA for an inspection appointment at 11 AM. Everything was fine until I saw one of their staff members moving my car from the garage. Not only was he unnecessarily revving the car while parking it out, but when he parked it, I clearly heard a crack.nnI immediately rushed over and found that my front lower spoiler was hitting the curb. When I pointed it out, the employee casually ignored the situation, went back into the car, moved it back, and walked away as if nothing had happened.nnWhen I brought it to the attention of the front desk, instead of acknowledging the damage, the staff completely avoided the issue. They kept asking if I had received an email, as if nothing had happened. No apology, no accountability, no respect for the customer. They rushed me to “just go pay” like it was business as usual.nnThis is not the service you expect from a brand that claims to represent Canadian values.nBecause of your employee’s negligence, my car now has visible damage and you acted like it was normal.nShameful!nnI trusted Canadian Tire, but after today, I will be reporting this everywhere I can.nTo whoever manages this store: I strongly suggest you review how your staff handles customer property. This is unacceptable and unprofessional.nnI have photo and video proof and am not letting this go.
Terrible Experience – Unprofessional and DishonestnnI rarely leave reviews, but my experience at this store was unacceptable. I came in to return a product that I never used, but was immediately met with rude and dismissive behavior. Instead of listening to my concerns, the staff accused me of using the item — which is absolutely false. The product was still in its original packaging and completely untouched.nnTo make things worse, the manager was shockingly inappropriate and immature. Rather than handling the situation professionally, they laughed and spoke over me, and made snide, sarcastic comments in front of other customers. It felt more like dealing with a high school bully than a store manager.nnThis kind of customer service is completely unacceptable. I left feeling disrespected, frustrated, and completely ignored. I went to a different location to get my full refund. I will never shop here again and strongly suggest others take their business elsewhere. There are plenty of other places that know how to treat their customers with basic decency and professionalism.
Cautionary Tale: Tire Storage Gone Wrong at Canadian Tire Dufferin & FinchnThis is more of a cautionary tale than a complaint, because a complaint generally has a solution, my story just leaves me tireless.nnBack in April, I got a new well, 1-year-old used car. Come November, I knew I’d need snow tires, so I looked around and found a good sale at Canadian Tire. Normally, I go to the Centerpoint or Weston locations — which have always been great — but the tires I wanted were only available at the Dufferin and Finch location.nnAll seemed fine at first. I dropped off the car, was told it would take a while, so I Uber’d home and back again later when it was ready. I paid the bill — a hefty one for four brand-new snow tires — and drove off. I noticed my original tires weren’t in the car, but I figured they were storing them for me, which honestly was a bit of a relief no lifting them into the garage rafters!.nnFast forward to April: time to swap the snow tires off. I returned to the Dufferin & Finch store only to be told that they don’t have my original tires — and worse, that my bill didn’t include a storage fee, so they had no record of storing them. I explained I never took them home and assumed they were being stored. The manager insisted I hadn’t paid for storage, so they weren't responsible, but he said he’d check the storage area and call me.nnHe did call back — to say the tires weren’t there.nnI asked for their customer relations contact, and after speaking to them, I was told I'm basically S.O.L. out of luck. I asked them to check security footage from November, and while the manager agreed, he said it likely doesn’t go back that far, and unless something shows up, there's nothing they can or will do.nnSo now I’m left needing to buy a new set of tires — again — because either a mistake was made or someone walked off with a perfectly good set of all-seasons.nnThe Lesson?nIf you’re storing tires at Canadian Tire — or anywhere — make absolutely sure your bill includes a line for the storage fee. If it doesn’t, you won’t see your old tires again, and there’s very little recourse. One careless mistake or dishonest employee, and you're out hundreds of dollars.nnI hate to say it, but based on this experience, I won’t be returning to Canadian Tire at Dufferin and Finch. Stick with locations you trust, and always double-check your receipt.
Excellent service and staff. i am a regular customer. i fix my car there all the time and am never disappointed it might be a little bit more expensive, but it's worth it. i don't have to deal with any form dishonest mechanics
This is the absolutely worst Canadian Tire that I have ever visited. I strongly recommend that you stay clear of this place. There is one particular manager who is incredibly racist. I came into return an item and without even looking at it, he immediately assumed that I used it and I am just trying to return it even thought the package is literally sealed. He then proceeds to open the package and inspects and confirms that it has not been used. Another manager comes over and checks and also confirms that it is not used. But he still proceeds to not give me a refund. And insists that he has to call his manager to confirm. I am pretty sure that if I was white, he wouldn't have said anything. Especially after opening the package and seeing that it was unused. When I then leave, he follows me out.nnI then go to another Canadian Tire and in less than 5 mins, I out of the store with a full refund. No issue what so ever. I am not surprised that this Canadian Tire has such a low rating given the people they hire.
