The Auto Service team did an exceptional job today on installing my new tires and my alignment. Excellent customer service at the front desk with the manager and his team. Everyone was professional and talked me through each step and reviewed the invoice ensuring I understood everything. They were completed on time and called me when the work was done right away. The waiting room was very clean and comfortable too. I was very pleased today on my experience. I will return for future work for my car. Thank you to the Guelph Line Team! Great customer service.
I took my car in yesterday because my windshield wipers stopped working. After inspecting it, I was told the wiper motor needed to be replaced and was quoted $619 for the repair.nnWhen I told my boyfriend who is currently away on a business trip, he immediately felt the quote seemed high. He called another Canadian Tire location in Sarnia and was quoted $365 for the exact same repair on the same make and model vehicle.nnHe then called back to question the pricing and had to speak with three different people. After pushing back and mentioning that it felt like I was being taken advantage of because I’m a young woman, the price suddenly dropped to $465.nnThe fact that the price could be reduced by over $150 after being challenged is extremely concerning. It makes me question the integrity and consistency of the pricing. I felt uncomfortable and taken advantage of, and that’s not how customers should feel when bringing their vehicle in for service.nnI would encourage others to get a second quote before agreeing to repairs here
Listed tires on sale online for 139.99$, came to pick up the tires, they had price stickers stating $79.99. Manager would only price match the one tire that had the sticker on it, and initially lied, saying that the order couldn't be refunded. Dishonest business, would not recommend trusting them with anything
I wish it was possible to give less than zero stars for the auto service I received yesterday because that is how I would rate it. I scheduled a snow tires on rims change and oil change for 2:00 more than a week in advance. When I handed over my keys at 10 to 2 and said I was going to wait, I was told it might be as long as 2 hours because they had staffing issues. I wasn’t happy but said okay.nAfter no word by 4:20 I inquired at the service desk and was told it was almost ready. I said I couldn’t see my car through the window so your man went into the garage, came back and assured me that it was there and almost ready.nnA few minutes later I see my car, still on summer tires being driven into the garage! Two and a half hours after my scheduled appointment. First your man told me 20 more minutes. He went out to talk to the mechanic, came back and told me 40 minutes. He gave me a big sob story again about his staffing problems as if that made all of this okay. At this point I said I was canceling the service . He then offered to give a whole $40 off the oil change, as if that is what all two and a half hours of my time is worth. He seemed genuinely surprised and angry that I wasn’t satisfied!nnIf I make an appointment with someone I keep it. I expect others to extend me the same courtesy. Your service department could have called me to reschedule. Failing that, the could have given me a more realistic estimate of the delay and asked me to come back later. Instead they left me hanging and expected me to accept waiting more than three hours for a forty minute job booked a week in advance. I have honestly never encountered a more unprofessional business than your service department. I won’t be using Canadian Tire for anything again. Over the years I’ve spent thousands in your store but not anymore. And I’m sure I’m not the only customer you lost yesterday with your complete lack of customer appreciation.nnRick Stanger
