Lovely museum, the crazy kitchen is always a great hit. From earth to us collection is very interactive and informative. There is an amazing kids 0-8 section called Zooom with a variety of hands on activities and a lovely nursing room.
Newly renovated, this is one of the best museums I have ever visited!nnThe place is bag, divided into many sections, wherein they have lots of interactive displays.nnThe kids will definitely enjoy spending hours going through the different points of interests. They even have life demonstrations every day.
It was my first time there since the big renovation years back. Great museum for families with many interactive exhibits of all kinds. The live demonstrations are always interesting. The original crazy kitchen is still there and the illusion still works great!
We love museums. This one was filled with great educational information on various types of tech in Canada, from kitchen tech starting in the 1920's to bicycles in the 1800's, to the star of computers, to steam engines full size train!, to the various types of musical recordings Thomas Edison and beyond, I think before as well!. There is even a quiet room to show sound but that would probably be great for kids or adults with hyper sound sensitivities to use!. The museum was open until 5 pm and we arrived at 3. There were 4 adults, so we skipped all the kid's stuff, and we still didn't get through it all! I'd say I saw about half, but I also like to read most of the panels. I think my husband saw about 3/4, as he is faster and skips a lot of the reading. There is even a section only for kids 8 years and under. I recommend giving yourself at least 3 hours to fully enjoy this museum!
The best part of the museum is the “Cool Science” aspect where you get a personal learning experience with professionals in their respective science field. Other than that, the museum was quite small compared to other science and technology museums I’ve been to. It’s one level and I wish there were more interactive science concepts to push hands-on learning.
