Visited with kids. It was a great day!nnThe museum is big and has a lot of things to do for kids. Between science experiments, molecules building, interactive live songs, your kids will love it.nnThe museum is very clean. The staff is awesome.nnBe sure to check the little forum area for extra activities.nnI recommend.
Visiting the Canadian Science and Technology Museum with a 6-year-old is a delightful and educational experience. The museum is easily accessible, with friendly staff making the entrance process smooth.nnThe museum features numerous interactive exhibits, perfect for young children. Hands-on activities, like building simple machines and engaging with light and sound displays, capture a child’s imagination. The dedicated children’s area offers age-appropriate activities and play-based learning opportunities.nnHighlights include the Crazy Kitchen, which offers a fun experience that plays with perception and balance, and various technology exhibits that intrigue young minds. Scheduled demonstrations and workshops are also engaging and exciting for children.nnThe on-site cafeteria provides child-friendly meal options, and there are plenty of rest areas for breaks. The gift shop is well-stocked with educational toys and books, making for a nice end to the visit. Overall, the museum provides a rich educational experience, keeping children entertained and engaged while learning about science and technology.
It was amazing, one of the best museums I have ever visited. Very well designed; time passes without you noticing. If you are visiting with kids, consider allocating 2 hours, especially for the Zoom section. There is also a spacious room equipped with changing tables and nursery chairs. Highly recommended!
A perfect place to visit with kids if you want them to learn a lot about science and technology in a fun way. The museum is filled with awesome interactive exhibits including real steam trains. There are lots of child-tailored interactive displays and activities to explore. During my most recent visit, I learnt a lot about nuclear energy and mineral mining. They also have a special exhibition going, Oh Shit, that focuses on toilets and human excrement in a way that actually provides a lot of useful information and food for thought.
Kids loved it. Train engines were massive! Lots to do & learn as most stations are interactive. We did the free @ 4pm. They close @ 5 & didn't nearly give us enough time to see all the exhibits. Modern. Cool. Friendly staff & reasonable parking fees $3.75/ hr
