Calgary Court Restaurant

The food is quite tasty and priced well. The menu is large and certain dishes may be confusing or less popular if you lack previous experience with them. Many dishes are meant to be shared. I recommend the baked rice dish with either cream or tomato sauce. I order mine with fish fillet. The free tea is a nice addition and the restaurant is open late.

Clean elegant restaurant. They have brunch menu Asian style which is very unique and cool. Much better than Denny are other breakfast joint. Reasonable price under $8 you get to Dishes and hot coffee. Highly recommend for breakfast. I'm sure their normal menu is pretty good too.

Food is always consistent. Between 2-5 is when you can catch their afternoon tea time specials. You get a smaller portion of food for the portion of the regular price and it includes a beverage. Regular menu items are bigger portions and are great for sharing. There's lots of variety and they have special menus that change seasonally. They also have daily specials, kinda like a value meal, which includes soup, toast and a beverage. I recommend the curry beef brisket dish, one of my favorites on the regular menu. Service is average. The servers greet you and refill you tea when ever they can. When it's busy they tend to forget things, therefore service can be sub par sometimes.

I've been coming here for almost a decade on my own and sharing with my friends. It's my favorite restaurant in Chinatown. Lots of variety for lots of tastes. Great service. Fast food, with slow food quality. Authentic and wholesome food.

Food is a tad expensive among similar Chinese restaurants. They usually maintain the food standard. I don't hear people say Calgary court has the best food. In other words, they don't surprise you with surprising good tasting food and they don't disappoint you in terms of food taste. Service, on the other hand, is greatly dependent on the server it happens to be serving you. Just lower your expectation on the service and you will be fine :-)
