I've come here often and have ordered via skip to my home. I've always had amazing food experiences here. I have tried all the pizzas on the menu and quite a few of the monthly features. They have all been amazing. The staff have all been really amazing as well. Great service and great manager. Also, they have a patio behind the restaurant where we were to have our dog with us. Oh ya the ice cream is seriously awesome too. Vegetarian options: All Vegan restaurant Wheelchair accessibility: Yes wheelchair accessible Dietary restrictions: Restaurant is all vegan
For me and my family the best vegan place to visit in town and have a hearty meal. Don’t worry about ordering any item on the menu if you’re a vegan as everything is plant based even though the names might suggest otherwise. The pizza’s are really light and have lots of variety. Flavours are a lot different than pizza’s from chain restaurants. Of course this is attributed to the fact that it’s not regular cheese in there and all plant based toppings. Try to order a couple of them at least if you are two or more people. For Dessert we had one of their Sundae’s and it tasted good with the in house made waffle cone. A few starter options and salad to go on the sides as well. All in all we always love to go back and try out different items.
We had a few pizzas, a couple salads and the garlic knots. Everything was really tasty! Great flavour, the crusts were really lovely and the service was good. Would definitely eat here again.Recommended dishesPizzas, Garlic Knots
You would be surprised how insane vegan pizza can go! When I first heard about Virtuous Pie, I didn’t even know it was vegan. I really appreciate the sheer amount of pizza’s this place has. For having many dietary restrictions, the food has a ton a flavour and large variety to choose from. Prices are a little higher than average, but the quality does support the cost. Also really enjoyed their lemonade type drinks. The one with pomegranate stuck out to me. One thing I would highly recommend is to double the amount of pizza’s you usually order. They are much smaller than normal. I love the modern and clean look of the location, plenty of space, and wonderful service! Taste: Excellent Presentation: Good Service: Excellent Uniqueness: Excellent Atmosphere: Excellent
Have been to the location in Vancouver, but first time at the Victoria location, and it did not miss a beat. We had our usual favourite - The Stranger Wing with buffalo cauliflower, with a side of the garlic ranch. The pizza was amazing as always, and I'm not even a vegetarian or Vegan. The location was great - super clean, spacious and inviting and the staff made it that much better. Def go give it a shot, even for meat eaters!
This was the first time we got to try Virtuous Pie in Victoria. We've tried the Portland location but, at the time, dine in wasn't available. This time, however, dine in was available and it did not disappoint. Fresh, tender kale Caesar salad with some of the crunchiest croutons + a pepperoni pizza with arugula and spicy honey, finished with an ice cream sandwich Everything was delicious. I'm definitely glad we split though, 'cause man that was a lot of food. If we have time, we'll go back to try their spicy chicken pizza.
I'm going to preface my review by saying that I am not a vegan, or vegetarian. But I was curious, and this place was highly recommended to me - and rightly so! After living in BC for a year, this place does the best pizza I've had so far! It's a shame I had to take a ferry from Vancouver for it... but I was informed that there are locations on the mainland! Anyway, back to the pizza. They use a thin crust, no deep dish pizza here. Light and crispy, yet not dry. I ordered the Stranger Wings it uses cauliflower instead of chicken, don't worry!, and it had the perfect balance of heat. If I was being super picky, it could have been a little more generous with the toppings, but only barely. The fresh house-made lemonade is also excellent and makes a great refreshing drink. The lavender and camomile is subtle but adds just enough to it to make it stand apart from usual lemonade. They also make a version with ginger which I'll absolutely try next time. Finally, dessert. Anyone dining here absolutely must try the cinnamon pillows. Divine. I'd recommend sharing with a friend as I felt a little guilty having the portion all to myself... I ordered mine with some of their house-made vanilla icecream as well. This was the one dish that was a little lackluster. The coconut came through more than the vanilla, so some extra vanilla bean may bump it up to a standout item. They do offer a variety of other flavours that I'll certainly try on a return visit. Overall, amazing venue, service and food. 100% would return, and I look forward to the next visit! Thank you to the team at Virtuous Pie!
Surprisingly delicious! My first experience eating a vegan "pie" and it was great! I would definitely be ordering here again. Got delivery but next time I would like to dine in :
After walking over 9 km I figured I deserved some Virtuous Pie. I ordered the Greece Lightning and it did not disappoint. In fact it tasted too good to stop and I ended up not taking anything home. So yummy! I also enjoyed a ginger lemonade - refreshing on a warm summer day. Vegetarian options: Vegan friendly Dietary restrictions: Can make gluten-free crust.
Frankly one of the best pies I've ever had. And I had no idea their whole operation was vegan until after the fact! Everything was bursting with flavour. Yeah it's pretty expensive for $18-20 for a thin small pizza that won't fill you up. so buy a couple. it's so worth it.
