Not the best earls I’ve been to but still good food! There’s not a lot open late in Victoria so this is a good option for a decent selection. The rare steak was very good, the truffle fries were really good. The rest was just OK. The new truffle ravioli was disappointing and I got it with the prawns but they were pathetically small and underwhelming not worth the extra $. The ravioli was good but felt a bit undercooked, the sauce was a bit watery and didn’t adhere to the pasta well. The Cajun chicken was tasty and not dry, the ribs were a little dry. It came with potato salad which was kind of bland. The atmosphere in here is nice and decent service! Good location, but if you’re driving since it’s downtown you need to take a bit of time to park.
I visited Victoria Canada on 6.30.2022 not only was the city breath taking the food at Earls was phenomenal! Our waiter was attentive and he was on top of our meal. It was delivered hot and he was such a nice person. I ordered the impossible burger and yam fries as my meal and they taste delicious. The appetizers were salt and pepper and BBQ wings everything was great tasting. I will return . Vegetarian options: There was a Vegetarian impossible burger amongst other options. I didn't choose vegetarian this time.
After a tiresome day travelling, my partner arranged dinner for me. Given the quality of airport food you already know, I was absolutely starved when I got home. What a blessing this food was. From perfectly braised BBQ ribs, to potatoes with bacon bits and sour cream, to a fresh slaw, every bite was pure heaven. So much for trying to be vegetarian again joking of course, ish. The birthday cake was just as delicious. It was my first time trying those additions that came with the cake, but they really provided a nice texture and satisfying taste. Will 100% be returning !
Giving Earles 3 stars. First the positives. Decor was nice and the restaurant was clean. Also very friendly staff from hostess to our waitress. Food came out promptly and visually very appetizing. My wife ordered the tuna poke bowl and she said she liked it. Unfortunately I can't say the same for my dinner. I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich which was supposed to be spicy however it was anything but. I understand it's supposed to be deep fried chicken but where's the chicken? And what was there I couldn't really taste because the batter was so heavy, dried up, and cold. Needles to say if you are going to Earles avoid the Nashville chicken sandwich.
we did not book a table, but on Saturday evening they found a free place for us. Very attentive waiters. We ordered spring rolls, spinach - very tasty, beautiful serving of the dish. The only downside to this place is that the music is very loud....
First time visit while in Victoria. The main attractive part is the fact that they are open late and serve food late in the night. Tried their Happy Hour menu and everything was great. The drinks Mojito and Mai Tai did not disappoint us at all. We will be back to try their Brunch menu soon.
Everything was great as usual. I just wished they wouldn’t take away the shrimp spaghetti. It was a personal favourite and alot of other customer’s too as I overheard.Recommended dishesFries or Truffle Fries, Cajun Chicken Cheddar SandwichDietary restrictions accommodatedNot sure
We had reserved the private room for a bachelor party however the restaurant double booked it so we could not sit there. The manager did give us 2 bottles of Prosecco to make up for it. The food was good but really high price $55 for a steak is crazy for a franchise restaurant. Service was ok.
We had lunch at Earls on Saturday, I ordered the 14 oz new dish ribeye steak from the menu, turned out to be the steak was not exactly the way I wanted. I was asking for medium rare and I got a overcooked medium , the drinks and everything else was good ! Great service ! A big thanks to our server Mike
Pros: - absolutely delicious white chocolate creme brulee It was a bit sweet but was delicious. - the service received was amazing. - comfortable seating - appreciated seeing clear signage: People under 18 not allowed unless a company by adult. Cons: - Wait time was long. - atmosphere is bar/nightlife type restraunt; a too loud & chaotic environment for our liking. Couldn't hear eachother. - shrimp cold Mixed: - Mostly hot food. When the shrimp is almost $10, And it arrives cold.. that's when it really puts people off. Fortunately, it was replaced with hot shrimp. - ordered medium well steak. But when I received it it was very bloody. I didn't complain about it though. I just covered it in gravy and hoped for the best. - also appreciate two entrances one from the mall and one from outside. However when the mall is closed there's nowhere to wait other than outside in the cold. -the vegetables tasted amazing however could have been cooked longer as they were quite crunchy. I would say this is more of an environment for 20 to 40 year olds. But not a very neurodivergent friendly place. And I'm not sure if there is a way to make it more neurodivergent friendly due to the type of restaurant/area that it is. I could be wrong though.
