Bao Down Gastropub + Raw bar

This place is THE place for happy hour in Olympic Village. Fair portions, fair price, AMAZING food! Everything was fresh and full of flavour. You must try the wok squid! If Bao Down wasn’t in the pretentious Village area, I’d give it 5 stars. Truth is truth!

I love this place so much. I’ve been going here for the last few years and it’s always been such a pleasant experience. Great drink selection, great beers on tap, food is fast and the atmosphere is fun. I’d say it’s best to come for happy hour! All baos are fantastic, as are the fries, tuna tataki, tuna stack and chicken!

Not great. Service was horrible. Waitress was trying to hurry us to order, never asked if we wanted a second drink after waiting 15 minutes to make the first one and food had to be sent back when it was cold. The food we did eat was no good. Margarita was tasty, so cocktails aren’t the worst if you want to wait forever to get them.

It's a bar looking restaurant. Their baos are pretty good. The japayoki fries are meh trying too hard

Came here for oysters. Not so great quality, oysters were still kinda frozen. Good interesting selection of toppings.
