Toko Foods

I used to live in Vancouver but moved away years ago. I always loved Toko and would eat here when I visited. I’m heartbroken they have closed their restaurant. I walked in today after being away about 3 years. They are still there making noodles but no yummy restaurant anymore. They were very nice and told me they closed to the public during Covid. I hope the restaurant comes back!

Love this place... Whether eating in or getting take out the food is always great crispy ginger beef is better eating in because it stays crispy. It is still a favorite with my daughter, has been since she was a kid, and it's a "must do" when she is in town. We were so sad when it briefly shutdown last summer for several months, and now so glad they are back up and running again.

Honesty not the best Asian cuisine. Almost worse than food court Asian. First it's a mishmash of everything from Chinese to Malaysian to Japanese. None of it was really authentic or tasty. The only good thing is portions are generous and I was told the noodles were made fresh in the same facility.

Delicious food, great service, casual comfortable atmosphere

Noodles have awesome textures, but the stir fry prep leaves a little to be desired. Heavy sauced and salted, so those with light salt resistance, be warned. Otherwise no mess quick Asian centric foods a little mix of Japanese, Korean, Chinese and everything in between but it's not glamorous. Price is fair, and service is quick.

I get the classics- chicken chow mein and ginger beef. Noodles are fresh and the crispy ginger beef is above average. Been going here since 2000. Too bad they are closed Sunday's because that's when I'm available to go. I hope they open in the future.

Very lacklustre...all noodles hardly any meat. Asked for spicy and they gave me hot sauce on the side and just overall not that good...lack of seasoning and flavour. I know my food I cook for a living and basically it's a bunch of carbs with no flavour or veg..should of got a pizza

I had the curry lunch combo which was ok, but it only cost $7.5. The curry is a bit different compare to nomal curry. The no msg option is a plus. The interior is nice. However, friend got the noodle soup which took long time and no flavor.

A no nonsense place. Good food and well priced. Tried their Thai chicken with cashews and it was really good. For drinks, I definitely prefer to go with the Asahi Japanese beer. Their house wines aren't bad either. Service is always good and the food usually comes out quickly. Great place for a lunch or early dinner.
