Story

Bangkok Garden was one of the first Thai restaurants in Toronto, introducing traditional Thai cuisine and culture to our city 25 years ago.

Acclaimed as one of North America's premier Thai restaurants, this Thai restaurant serves authentic Thai food, based on the Thai principle of balancing the five tastes: sweet, hot, sour, salty and bitter. To ensure that our food tastes just right and is truly authentic Thai cuisine, essential ingredients are delivered fresh all the way from Bangkok.

I went to this restaurant with friends on December 31, 2017. It was my first time there and I loved it. The staff were very friendly and the service was about the best I have experienced. Once seated I took a good look around. Simply beautiful. Clearly a great deal of thought and work went into creating such a wonderful space. As I sat there I began to notice the wonderful aromas of the different dishes which served to tease and excite. It is a great space to sit and enjoy with great friends. I ordered the Chicken Coconut Soup, Cashew Chicken with Rice and for dessert a Chocolate Mousse. The various courses were served to all guests at the same time (something that I feel is important and sadly often lacking in many restaurants these days). We all got to enjoy and share each course together. The food was fantastic. In fact I can say it was the best Thai food I have ever had. What a pleasant dining experience and night out. What a great find in downtown Toronto. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return again and again.

Lovely ambiance, perfect for a romantic date. Despite how busy the restaurant was, each our dishes came very quickly. My boyfriend and I ordered the Star of Siam dinner for two option, which came with 4 courses. We had chicken spring rolls and soup for appetizers, followed by the three pagodas chicken curry, basil beef stir-fry, and vegetable pad thai for the entrees, and tropical ice cream to top it off. By the end of the night, we were both stuffed and satisfied with our meal. The total came out to about $35 per person with tax, which is a bit pricier than other Thai restaurants, but it's totally worth it!

I went to Bangkok Garden for the very first time today for lunch. I tried their lunch buffet but for me there wasn't a lot of choice because I was looking for Halal options and in the absence of Halal options I decided to eat vegetarian food. Most of the food was average, but was freshly made. I had expected that they would have vegetarian fried rice included in the buffet, but it wasn't. I hope that the management introduces authentic halal food options and removes pork and pork options from the menu. They will attract many more customers.

Superb! We had a 4 course dinner as part of the exotic couple spa treatment from Elmwod Spa. Place is nice and cozy and our server was pretty funny and helpful. Food is great. We had satay chicken, pork and beef, veggie fresh rolls, vegetable soup, mango salad, grilled rainbow trout, grilled chicken (cannot recall actual name) and then we had coconut creme brûlée and mango something for dessert. Aside from the spice in the trout everything was great tasting. I am not sure about the price range as we got it as part of the spa package but with the good experience we had, there is a higher probability that we will come back to this restaurant. 👍👍

The food is tasty. Ambiance is great. Service is not bad. Selection of food for the price you pay is not that great.
