There is a waiter who can maintain a good attitude towards people who don't speak Chinese. But as long as you speak Mandarin to her, she will speak to you in a very disdainful tone. I really can't stand this discriminatory attitude. I went to this store before and wanted to ask because I didn't know what the food was. Then she replied to me with a very impatient attitude and her words were full of hostility. Not only once, but many times.
Went there last week which is also the very first time since the pandemic hit. Price has gone up by a lot. This small container equivalent to half a typical size container used to be $5.95 now it’s $8.23 ! You get a choice of steam rice, fried rice or fried noodle but I always get steamed as it is fresher; then you get to pick 2 items. Here I got the spicy beans and the soya braised fish. This is fast food just like food court so things are sitting on a warmer. It’s fast if that’s what you need so don’t expect quality as well.
Food is expensive and not fresh. Pretty sure they leave it out for a few days and heat it back up. I got mad stomach ache after eating here. In addition, they're cheap as hell. They gave me half a portion of rice, which is usually the least expensive ingredient lmfao. Probably one of the worst places when it comes to Chinese fast food. Do not recommend.
Everything at the restaurant was fantastic I would highly recommend their deep-fried spare ribs or cold spicy chicken. Special orders on the menu take more time but are also definitely worth the wait also! Literally can not go wrong here. The service is efficient and the staff was friendly. Make sure you also get their exclusive Chinese drinks or even their Fairlife chocolate milk protein shakes. Overall a super solid place to eat when dining at SFU.
Fast food Pros: Location and price Cons: No service and kinda lousy I come here about twice a week. It is the first time when I have something that goes sour....
The food was pretty nice and they had great service. Would recommend to grab a quick Chinese lunch here. I personally liked the chow mien.
Overall experience was great! The servers were kinda and polite. Food was really good. Would definitely recommend getting the deep fried spareribs.
Quality has declined steeply recently. Poor meat quality, old vegetables and terrible service if you don’t speak Mandarin/ Cantonese
Miso ramen was decent, although the pork added a weird flavor, plus it doesn't look like the image on the menu; no green garnishes at all, pork is diced and had too much skin, but it did come with a whole egg. Overpriced — I'd pay the extra dollar for ramen downtown. The place is crowded and so unclean ... I feel dirty sitting in this place. It's annoying how only a few items on the menu have prices on them..
portion sizes were okay, and the food tasted pretty good; but the "meat" on the platter was basically 80% bone and 15% cartilage. Overall not the best deal for the price.
