Chili Dragon Chinese Restaurant

Worst take out of the year award goes too: Chili Dragon. We were really busy on Friday and thought we would give this place a chance. I am not one to post a really negative review, I try to be objective and fair in all my reviews... but this was truly bad. What you see in the pic is the remainder of what no one would eat after the first few bites. The honey garlic chicken was very bad...and I am not sure what it was because the texture was very weird and the pieces were shaped like a pork chop that was cubed. The chicken with vegetables was more like 3 day old soup of some kind and the sweet and sour pork tasted like it had been quickly defrosted and dunked in the current sauce then thrown in the container. Both pork's had strangely soft texture and no crispness to be found anywhere. The rice was ok, but it's hard to mess up rice. Truly a waste of $60+ as what you see went in the bin this morning. No second chances with this place...hard no put next to their phone number in my phone in case I get confused in a year and can't remember which place it was. Epically bad.

Finding Chinese food is fairly easy in the LMD but finding good GF gluten free Chinese is hard. This is probably the only place that does it and it is really good. Would highly recommend for gf and non-gf eaters. 2 of us got 4 dishes and rice and had enough for 4 or more so definitely worth it price wise. Wish they had a Surrey location!

Always reluctant to try a new Chinese restaurant based on previous experiences with bland soggy food.... Being new to the area, we decided to give Chili Dragon Chinese Restaurant a try. Four dishes for takeout; portions a tad bit smaller...but WOW. Amazing! Food tasted delicious and was steaming hot....even the kids had seconds! Recommended to several others already, will be ordering again in the near future.

I have been craving sesame chicken for ages, but can’t eat it because it’s always made with gluten. All the fried meats in this place are gluten-free, so I could finally get it! We got the orange beef, sesame chicken, house fried rice, and curried veggies. The sweetness of the beef and chicken together was a bit much for me, but everything was delicious! Surprisingly, the fried rice was my favorite out of everything. It was perfectly made and incredibly flavorful. The curried veggies were okay, but tasted a bit bland. They were decent when I maxed them with some of the sauce from the meat. It was so much fun to have Chinese food options again and I’d definitely eat here again!

The food ordered last night was not very good. Orange chicken overly breaded and the chicken itself dry, the sauce for the chicken came on the side and the chicken was flat and unconventional, as we had expected chicken to be in balls similar to a sweet and sour pork cut and doused in the sauce. Beef ho fun flat noodles didn’t have much beef, no flavour and very little greens. The photo does not show the full amounts as we had forgotten to snap a picture prior to playing

I don’t usually write reviews but today I made an exception. I ordered from there about a year ago and the food was great. I was thrilled to find gluten free Chinese food. A few days ago I ordered again. The food was terrible. I ordered sweet and sour pork and beef broccoli. The pork wasn’t crispy at all, but the meet was still super dry. The sauce was bland and tasted like a bottle of sauce from the supermarket. The beef broccoli was over cooked. The sauce was overpowering gelatinous goop and both the beef and broccoli were mushy. I don’t know what happened with the cook but the food is now almost inedible. Even if you are gluten free, don’t waste your money here. Dietary restrictions: They had a lot of gluten free options

The food here is amazing! Always piping hot at pick up, and so delicious. I was so excited to find somewhere that does gluten free Chinese food, but even my gluten eating family members think this is some of the tastiest Chinese food they have ever had :

Decided to give this newly opened Chinese take out place a try today. It's a great addition to the neighborhood! The portions are generous, staff nice and efficient, and prices reasonable, especially the lunch special. And of course the food was good. The chow mein was very flavorful, definitely one of the best I've tried, and the sweet and sour pork decent too. If I reeeeally had to pick at something, the sweet and sour pork leaned very slightly sour, but that's all I can think of. The thank you note with the fortune cookies and a personal note on the back were also a nice touch. : Will definitely be back here to support this new business!

Every time I visit the Lower Mainland I make sure to order Chili Dragon's gluten free Chinese food. It is consistently good, and the service is friendly and expedient. I couldn't be happier with the food and service.Food: 5/5

Gluten free Chinese food?! Our food was fantastic, we're so pleased with it! We ordered chicken fried rice, sesame chicken and Ginger beef, all gluten free, all delicious! I haven't had Chinese food in 3 years and we will definitely be ordering it again
