Server spoke both Cantonese and English. Answered questions and provided good service. They have many rooms and looks like they can host big parties. Separate space for regular dining customers. I think the regular dining room is more brightly lit as there are windows whereas the separated parts of the restaurant use indoor lighting and is more yellow. We tried the live king crab combo for 4 for $528. Soup was very tasty. Steamed crab with garlic was good. Deep fried crab was ok but I don’t like fried foods so others will like it more. I liked the baked rice in crab shell as it was very cute and also filling. Only order if you like curry rice. Dessert had a choice of mango pudding or Chinese rice sweet water dessert. Each person can ask for a different dessert - not everyone has to have the Chinese sweet water dessert. 25 cents per take out container.
I have come here a few times and it has not disappointed. It is a big place and every time I have been there, it's always almost fully booked. Reservation is recommended. Overall, the dishes we ordered tasted very good. Service was on par with the food served. Servers spoke English and were friendly.
Your food satisfaction will vary with what you order. The regular dim sum fare is good but their special fare is very hit and miss. We loved the deep fried milk special but we were very disappointed with the special deep fried beef brisket. Also, the cost was also much higher than we had expected.
A decent but average Chinese takeout food experience. Tried the pea shoot tips with garlic and it was quite old, tough to chew, and super fibrous which is the opposite of the soft and tender texture you expect for pea shoots. Portions were good though. Also tried the honey garlic spareribs which were nice but didn’t have too much honey garlic sauce on them.
Our first time there and were pleasantly surprised. We order combo of 4 dishes, that included traditional soup, ginger onion crab, praws with veggies, cold platter, blanched chicken. The seafood dishes were very fresh. I appreciate the fact that hot dishes were hot, cold dish was cold and stir fried dishes were at the right texture. We will go back there again. A little gimmick was the robot busperson, kind of cute though.
Food is good with decent portions. I especially loved the deep fried meat dumplings. 4 stars because the squid was a bit bland, needs a bit of salt. Otherwise the rest of the dishes were fine.Food: 4/5
Mediocre Experience . Duck was good , though wish we could get cut skin only l. Crab was poor all stuck to shell . Either frozen overcooked or old . Had crab previous day at Sun Sui Wah and nothing like this . All meat was stuck to shell and dry . Service was also very poor . Almost 20 minute wait just to order and no waitress or waiter clearing dirty or full plates isn’t great .
Yan’s Garden was our to-go Chinese restaurant when we lived in the area. There was always a line up for dim sum during the weekends. The dim sum was good but was kinda pricey. Their ala carte menu was pretty good and have good portion. - Budha’s feast: good mixed of vegetables and they put varieties of mushrooms. However, the sauce tasted a bit different recently - maybe they changed cooks ? - Ginger beef: hubby’s favorite! Deep fried beef stripes with sweet & sour sauce. Depends on the cooks, sometimes the beef pieces were cooked perfectly & tender and other time, it was overcooked & tough. - Honey garlic spare ribs: deep fried spare ribs were tender and crispy. The honey garlic sauce was sweet & delicious. - Chinese broccoli with garlic sauce: the Chinese broccoli was cooked perfectly - not to soggy & have perfect crunch The food was kinda inconsistent but overall, 3.5 stars for the taste, portion & price
It was easy to book reservations. Got seated right away. It’s nice to be able to pick dishes off the carts that came by and you can order some from menu as well. Enjoyed dim sum lunch with family and friends and out of town guests.
Very good food . We have ordered king crab . The steam crab legs with garlic sauce is very tender , and beef with Chinese broccoli is very delicious . We will definitely come back again ! Love this restaurant.
