Paul's Restaurant

It’s just a small, plain looking restaurant. Nothing much to look at from the outside, but inside they serve up great traditional Cantonese dishes. There’s an extensive menu of all the popular favourite South China fare. Started with a traditional century egg and lean pork congee. It was nice and hot with lots of fillings. I had the beef brisket daikon hot pot. Beef was really tender and had a nice smoked oil flavour which can only be done in a hot pot. Also had the chicken, vegetable, mushroom and rice noodle. Highly recommended. The noodles were nicely fried and there was lots of chicken. Portions were very generous and the price can’t be beat. If you are looking for traditional Cantonese fare at a great price, this is it. I will definitely be coming here as a regular. Drop me a comment or a like if you found this helpful.

The food was great and I give it a 9.5 out of ten. The corn with fish rice is good but the fish’s skin is kind of weird because it is a bit chewy like bubble gum. The curry rice is good but it is a bit too spicy for me. I gave the curry rice a 7 out of ten. Hehe the pictures are taken after i ate some of it so it’s missing some lol…..

I love that you can order combos here! That’s something not found very often. We ordered the dinner for 2 and it was plenty of food. The wonton soup was our favourite part. The sweet and sour chicken was very tender and flavourful. Unfortunately I found the chow mein super dry.. this is usually my favourite dish so I was disappointed in the quality.

Had a great experience gettin Paul's to cure a hangover. Order by phone for collection cause I'm sick of cold uber food. Arrived just as it was ready food came out hot. Greeted by a nice lady. Good sized portions for the price and was exactly what I was looking for. Canadian Chinese food! They through in some spring rolls on the house. 38$ and it fed 2 people.

We visited this Chinese eatery in Burnaby recently. We tried their spicy schezwan pork noodles tolerable spicy ; the portion size was huge & good enough for two people. We ordered another spicy chicken wonton soup which was too hot & spicy for us. Somehow we managed to finish the wontons and could not taste the soup. Nice covid protocol in place.

No clue what's with all the reviews. The guy who served me was great. Had the beef and shrimp fried noodle. Absolutely NOT bland. Great sized portion, a surprising amount of big shrimp. The Hot and sour soup that came with was also good. Probably will order a combo next time. Is this another Yankee candle covid thing?

Tasty dishes. Large menu. Something for everyone! Very kind and efficient staff. Nice Covid protocol in place. Great place to pick up dinner and take it home to share with your family!!

Taste: 8/10 Value: 8/10 Family loves coming here for authentic Chinese food that's not in Richmond. This place is humble and not fancy inside at all, but food is tasty and price is good! Ordered 3 dishes deal: Fried meat: fried pork! Pretty good Spicy beef bowl si chuan style: really good one of my fav dishes here if u like the si chuan beef style. Fish and tofu hot pot bowl: really classicly done. Good taste good seasoning. Chicken comes along good! Overall, we come here often as a family and food is good! : @nomnomstyle

I enjoyed the veggie curry from their lunch special. There was something for everyone in my family. Although, I couldn't eat the got and sour soup due to the eggs in it. I like helping out the smaller independant restaurants.

Food was so good both my friend and I had combo dinners I had the #1 she had the #3. Very nice sized portions and very tasty. We were given complimentary Chinese tea as we waited for our meals and also during. We were also offered hot and sour soup. I declined but my friend tried it unfortunately it was a little to hot for her liking. The waitress I assume was the owner perhaps was very friendly. And service was fast. Definitely will be my new favorite Chinese food restaurant.
