Applewood Fish & Chips

This place has been on my to go list for quite awhile. The other day it was actually on the way, and we were like this has to be the time we are giving it a try. Since it was like between lunch and dinner so we ordered only a Premium Mild Halibut with fries and a large coleslaw to go. The fish is amazing! So so so good! But the fries were a little underwhelming probably because it’s takeout. Even a neighbour said it smells great when we were in an elevator. The only thing though is that the price is on the higher side, but I can understand you pay for what you get. The fish is really good! Coleslaw was great too. Also love the art pieces in the store. So beautiful.

So i would like to say the food here was not that bad. Fish was too oily however quantity was good. We ordered fish&chips,shrimps these had good taste BUT Mashroom tops that we ordered were stale, and upon asking TWICE the asian waiter said these are freezer stored.. what? FREEZER stored, MASHROOMS stored in freezers loose their freshness and taste like water means tasteless, anyways NO apologies were made even once, NO replacements upon saying TWICE that Mashrooms taste awful. BUT Here comes the worst part, other customers other than us were given cutlery, extra bowls to eat in, lemons or extra lemons BUT we were looked down for some reason by them... however we PAID BLOODY $47 in CASH cause they said cash ONLY more than anyone in the restaurant that day. So long story short PHETHETIC service and waiters, i do not suggest ppl to go here to ruin your day if your expecting a good service at this place!

First time dining and loved the customer service. It’s a kind of laid up home feel type of vibe. The staff is kind and patient. The food was fresh and perfectly fried.

Hands down the best fish and chips place in the area. Located in Mississauga, close to central Etobicoke. Halibut is so fresh. Fries are the best! Gravy too! The portion size is excellent. The owners are very friendly and appreciative of their customers. Trust me. You won’t be disappointed.

Great fish and chip spot in Etobicoke. If not, the best. Beware!! Prices have gone up. Good to know, especially because it’s cash only.

Service was excellent 5/5 very friendly Location Excellent 5/5 good location Cleanliness 5/5 very clean Food 3/5 I have tried literally everything on the menu and would have to say nothing too special. Chicken breast on the menu is literally Chicken Fingers. I just did not really like the batter they use to fry everything. Price is very reasonable. However only cash is accepted at this venue. Overall this place gets a 3.5stars but I rounded up due to the very friendly owners.

DELICIOUS! Quick service, fair prices, big portions and crispy fish and chips. I wish the chips were a little bit seasoned and that we got lemon with the fish but overall it was a good experience. The staff was all very friendly and attentive, we will be back here when craving fish and chips!

Excellent food! Good prices, but come prepared, as they only accept cash. That's how they keep their prices down! Crispy batter on the fish and mushrooms, nice flakey fish, crispy fries, and l love their coleslaw! Friendly and fast service. Definitely one of our go-to places to eat. >^..^<
