The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Square One

Me and my partner went to the Keg for our first time to celebrate a number of recent accomplishments, and the experience we had was exceptional. The food was delicious and while you may think the prices are a bit higher than other restaurants, the service/hospitality made it worth every penny! Our server Nikki did a great job in making sure we were okay, and a huge thanks to the manager Anthony for going above and beyond in giving us a 5/5 experience. We will definitely be back to celebrate future events!

Loved the awesome experience at this place. Our server Clayton was awesome with food and drinks. Can't praise him enough with his professionalism and attention to details. He regularly checked on us, provided us hot towels mid food, really knowledgeable with the wine and cognac selection, great conversation, brought us free desert for our occasion not all locations do so and even re-corked our wine. Will be visiting this location again soon.

The rib eye steak was delicious. Ordered it Chicago style which was a touch too charred but still edible. The fried calamari was good but the pieces were small. Not worth the $18 price tag. This location was definitely better than the Dixon location.

I would give 4.5/5 if I could but... Food was great I ordered steak and lobster tail with fresh veggies and was super delicious. Ambiance was great however, my wife and I were celebrating our Anniversary and usually: 1 they ask if we'd like to sit in lounge or dining area 2 ask us if we're celebrating any special occasion which we were 3 butter for our lobster tail was not heated prior to us getting our full meal usually the butter is placed in advance so that it has had time to melt 4 in the past, we are offered a complementary Billy Miner's Pie [again, not a gripe... just perhaps change in restaurant policy] Matt and the rest of the Keg service were great; prompt with our drinks and dishes. Still, a great place to dine and enjoy the warm atmosphere.

Impeccable service by our server Cassandra. Chris was also such a lovely gentleman who offered to take a picture of my sister and I. Will definitely return because of them and of course the food was amazing. Solid 5 stars. Thank you for such a wonderful experience

Great place reminiscent of Ruth Chris Steakhouse. Intimate setting and a great selection of meat, sea, and field. Steak was very well cooked, seared just enough to provide some crispy edges. Salad came crisp with flavorful cheese and fresh dressing. Veggies were delicious as well. Twice baked potatoes are a must at The Keg.

Had an excellent time. Went early on a Friday and sat on the patio. Can't believe I haven't been to The Keg before. I ordered the Filet and my wife got the Prime Rib. Both were cooked to perfection. They were melt in your mouth excellent! I enjoyed mine with an elevated Rye and Ginger, and it was quite tasty. My wife started with a blackberry daiquiri and then sipped a glass of Red with her dinner.

With restaurants reopening in Ontario we thought we should try this new keg location. The staff were very friendly. Our server Nicole was amazing. I ordered the top sirloin and it was cooked perfectly. I recommend trying the steak 'chicago' style. My favourite is the teriyaki serloin but they didn't have it last night. Their pie is amazing.

Would definitely recommend for a birthday dinner! Booking - Booking online was easy and simple. Although I originally booked a table two, I was able to call and the hostess changed our booking to three people. Food - We got scallops and bacon for appetizers. The scallops was soft and chewy while the bacon had the right amount of crisp - We ordered the New York sirloin, Filet mignon, sirloin + lobster. The New York and filet mignon was flavorful and soft. The lobster with the butter was chef kiss. I loved how the butter was melted! Service - Our server was incredibly accommodating and sweet. He always made sure our water was filled and served our food well. - Since my mom didn’t want bacon on her filet mignon, they moved the bacon over to my place! - He also provided us with a cake for my moms birthday and tea - The hostess helped take pictures and made sure we were satisfied - The service was phenomenal and everyone went above and beyond! I’m sad I can’t remember their names but a few things about them…our male server was quite tall and has a motorcycle and the hostess has long black hair and was wearing an Apple Watch! Interior - Elegant decor and great for pictures Thank you so much for making my moms birthday enjoyable

We had dinner here recently. 2 couples and a small kid. The staff were really nice and polite. Food was delicious. Prime rib was presented neatly and tasted amazing. Ribs and burger were also done to perfection. Highlight for me would be the double baked potato. I had something like that for the very first time and it’s a must try. They also had a neat kids menu with tasty food. There was a small activity package for kids at the table as well. It was our friends’ anniversary so we also got a slice of cake on the house. Appreciate the gesture. Ambience was fantastic. All in all a great place close to the square one mall and we’re glad for that. Will be going back repeatedly. Update 1/23: second visit yesterday with same group. Place was great just like the first time. Great cocktails. Lobster steak dinner is the way to go. Amazing combination and great portion. Staff were still as kid friendly as they could. Kid-friendliness: Kid was a bit cranky on the day but the staff were really nice and made us feel at home. Kids menu was good and they even had a coloring book to keep them occupied. Parking: Ample parking on the sides and at the back of the restaurant
