Great campground. The views on campsites 1-7 are awesome, campsites with higher numbers are more private and secluded. There are so many outhouses, there will be one close to your site for sure. Watch out as you park your car or RV in your campsite, do not get too close to the edge. A van went too close and bottom down when the back tires went off the ledge : their van was ok but they had to call for help to get out. As you leave, drive slow and careful on the exit road because there are big potholes. We had a wonderful time in this campsite mid Sep 2021
Stayed here for a 5 days in July 2022. Relatively quiet campground. You can hear some road noise, especially in the lower numbered campgrounds. There are quite a few toilets and garbage bins. At least one per each row. Campsites are spread out far enough from each other. Just a 10 minute bike ride to the Discovery Center. Walkable to Wilcox Pass trailhead.
Walk ins only no online reservations. Right up The road - walking distance - from the Wilcox trail. Rvs up to 25 ft. Toilets, water, dump station. Fire pits. No electricity. Sites are well Spaced and private. We had good neighbors, quiet evening. Drove in around 2 pm and many spots were available aug 7th. Fire was not allowed, alas, because of forest fire hazards. We can faintly hear the road.
We specially liked this campground. It was the only unreserved night we had. It did fill up very quickly after we arrived at about 4pm, so better to arrive earlier.
Bit disappointed as we checked online and we were able to book but when we arrived was closed due to the snow. Be careful if you are looking to visit it during May/June as it could be closed due to amount of snow. If that’s the case you have the Icefields RV Camping parking to stay during the night, really cool.
Very quiet and wonderful place easy checked in. Wonderful scenery, best for nature lovers!
Good basic campground. Ran out of firewood though or it would be 5 stars.
Quiet campground, some nice private sites if you have your choice. High elevation, so it gets chilly at night, but that works for me. Within minutes you're at the Columbia Icefield parking lot.
A small quiet no frills campground. Close to Icefield Center, the Skywalk and the Glaciers. It is very well treed and quite beautiful. Roads are a bit rough and the sites are small. It was full when I took the last spot at 4:30 pm. So get there early.
Lovely campground. Sites on the first loop have the best views but all the spaces are very nice. We were very happy with our spot number 44 in the top loop. Lots of privacy. Great bathrooms and camp kitchens, potable water, dump station! What More could you want????
