The closest first come first serve campsite to Jasper. Great to do day trips from. Right on the river and you can access it easily. Beautiful views of the mountains at the river. Like all the campgrounds it is kept clean and in good standing. It is right in the trees a d I thought the bugs may be bad. It was good. Keep in mind I stayed in the middle of August. Restrooms: First ones I have seen with locks on the outside to let you know someone is inside. Don't get any bad ideas!
Great campground outside of Jasper. Away from RV hustle/bustle of Whistlers and Wapiti. Right on the Athabasca River. Relaxing to sit bythe fire listening to the river race by. First come/first serve.
Very nice spot. We were looking for a spot about 25-30 min from Jasper so less traffic. Dog friendly. We were also looking for something cheaper, as we don’t need power. This campground was about $50 for 2 nights. There’s complimentary cut firewood, and “drinking water” I don’t trust it as it’s in direct sun in clear containers instead of black, if you know AG you know clear grows bacteria but it is great for washing / dogs / dishes. Dog friendly, quiet hours everyone seemed to follow, even the ones partying! Come in the early morning 8-10am on Sat/Sun if you want a spot ! During the week it’s pretty empty. There’s privacy spots if you want that, or there’s open spots if you want that too. Smaller spots for tents/ bikers/ cars, and larger ones for small fifth wheels and bumper pulls. 23ft limit recommended. It’s right on the Athabasca with a small point that makes a small beach area if you’re brave enough to swim Staff come frequently in the mornings to clean bathrooms and garbage. Very friendly people. 10/10 will be staying again!!
Really Nice basic self registered campground, no showers or electricity. It was quiet and the location is in the middle of Jasper National Park. The backyard was next to the river, we had great weather and enjoyed our staying very much. Don't expect any luxury
Beautiful campground situated right by the Athabasca river. Sites close to the river are open with minimal privacy, but the second loop further from the river are much more treed. Watch out for the ravens, as they will walk straight through your site even when you're in it! Always keep a clean campsite and don't leave food out! Sadly some people think it's a joke, but the rangers are good and will confiscate food/gear if they see it left out and unattended.
Basic campsite with great access to the river. Drop toilets and drinking water provided. The campsites near the front are pretty busy but have better access to the river. We stayed near the back which was super private. Wood is there for a fire but was super wet seems to be a Canada park theme though
Very nice campsite, super clean outhouse. Good location
Great little campground, quiet, clean, self registration. One small section by the river, sites are a bit more open. We stayed in the other larger loop with large private sites lots of trees between the sites. Close to highway but we couldn't hear the traffic too much and it died off at night. Very clean outhouses and friendly staff.
Nice campground. A little close to the highway, but we didn't notice too much noise from that. Outhouses only, but they were clean and didn't smell much for an outhouse. There are large water tanks with potable water, bearproof storage containers, and lots of firewood available. It's a little out of the way and a bit more rustic than Whistlers, but that's exactly what we were looking for. Not a great campground for large RVs, but for small trailers, vans, or tents it's pretty nice.
