Nice campgrounds! The thickness of the trees give you privacy from your camping neighbors and the bathrooms were always so clean! It’s also close to the Miette Hot Springs so that was nice! Potable water available with the spigot outside the bathrooms. Stainless steel washing station was great too!
This is a nice campground. We brought our trailer here which each camp site is large enough. This campground is about 30 minutes from Hinton or Jasper, depending on what you have planned. We did find that the mosquitoes are very bad here as you are in the deep wood.
We stayed in D loop and our site was wonderful. Fairly private and plenty of room. Bathrooms were clean and on the walk to them we had an amazing view of the mountains. Would definitely stay here again.
This was my favorite campground after a 6 week trip to Canada and Alaska. Loved the privacy of each campsite, free firewood, flush toilets. And the hot springs were a short drive, there was a nice trail at the end of the campground. No services for an RV but worth it!
My friends and I came to this campground at 9:50pm on the 21st hoping there was a spot available after camping plans fell through. While driving up to the kiosk the blinds were quickly pulled down and once we were at the kiosk we could hear people laughing inside. I waited for a few minutes and continued to be ignored. Knocked on the window and drove around to the other side and was just hoping to get some help finding a spot. We were probably ignored for 10 minutes and the girl was very short and quick to say they're closed when she finally came out. Told us to go to overflow camping which wasn't much help since we would've driven towards Jasper anyways. I'm very familiar with the reservation process, QVE, and the kiosk as well since I work for Parks at a campground. The people in the kiosk were very rude to us for absolutely no reason. Seemed to think it was funny as well since they all just hid in the kiosk laughing. I'm not one to write bad reviews but this was just ridiculous. Unfortunately the people in the kiosk that night made a bad first impression of the campground and we won't be going to this campground next time in Jasper because of the lack of professionalism and customer service.
Used to stay every year at least 10 days total each time. Never again!! The staff dumping water on your fire at 11 pm did it for me!! People can check in at all hours and make all sorts of noise setting up camp In the middle of the night, but I can’t have a fire quietly with my wife and kids. Absolutely ridiculous. If you enjoy a fire during the night , do yourself a favor and stay outside of the national park. Jarvis campsite north of Hinton is nice!
Most basic of campsites that aren't as well maintained as most other Provincial, municipal or federal campsites. For the rates you pay which include mandatory burning permits, fee to spend a night on Jasper, taxes and the camp rate it just isn't worth it. Mount Robson provinxial campsite is only a short distance away and I highly recommend those sites over this one. We will not go back
Excellent spot - will be back. Few things I wanted to know before I arrived were: Fully treed lots - mostly private. No power - be prepared. No Showers. Wood pile always had lots of sizes of wood availible - not much kindling though. Big pieces don't really fit the smaller than normal fire pits. Look at lot photos before booking. The fireplace may be on the wrong side of your lot if your are in an RV. Campfires out at 11pm,. They didnt come around right at 11pm like some Canada Parks. Most campers seemed to follow the rules and was very quiet at night. Each loop has washrooms with flush toilets, very clean, outdoor sink for washing dishes. Fresh water access to fill your trailer need hose with a bit of length. No sewar dump - you can dump at a station in Hinton Canadian Tire or in Jasper near the RV parking lot. Some provincial parks will allow you to dump there for a cost.
One of the best campsites I've been to. Flushing toilets, water stations, a dish washing station, free wood. Nice treed sites. Top tier national park camping.
A beautiful campground with the real feel of nature . Every slot has adequate space including a fire pit and a picnic table. There are clean flush toilets. Park rangers are always on petrol . Toilets were clean and had wash basins inside . In addition there were areas to wash cooking utensils . Further there was drinking water pipes available . Few minutes drive to the hot springs is a bonus. Downside is there were no showers and cell reception . Unless you have an RV you should visit the hotsprings. Would be good if they least had emergency phones
