The recent upgrades are amazing. The showers are spacious, the bathrooms are cleaned every morning and are well lit and warm. The campsites are spaced out enough you don't hear every word your neighbors say. End of season they ran out of fire wood. But the park staff are friendly and helpful. It's also walking distance to town.
Hands down the best camping spot I've ever stayed at. I stayed for 3 nights in loop 15 in May and it was so quiet. There were only a few other groups near me. The washroom facilities were right next to me and they were the newest and cleanest facilities I've ever seen. The spot itself wasn't super private but it didn't matter since the park wasn't too busy in May. Elk came to visit me several times a day, really interesting but a bit frightening!
Stayed here the first summer after the makeover with my travel trailer. My site was farther back, closer to the mountain, and my family loved it. The roads are paved but it still felt like a campground and there was plenty of privacy between sites with lots of trees. Bathrooms and showers are all new and kept clean. Staff at check-in desk were friendly and helpful. I will be returning again.
We stopped in to see the newly renovated campsites. The roads were paved, with new washrooms and showers facilities located on the entire campground. Super clean and well kept. The RV larger units are closer to the highway and sparse in trees. Good to see there are plenty of trees and privacy btw the other units. We look forward to staying there next time.
Great campsite and experience. Washrooms and showers are clean and close by. Campground has fire pits, running electricity and other campers are at a good proximity for safety. Highly recommend we saw a family of elk twice.
We stayed at Whistler for a week to see the sights of Jasper National Park. The campground is all new this year and we had a nice level site with full hookups including 50 amp service. Apparently many of the trees had to be removed as they were diseased. This gave nearly every campsite mountain views in most directions - which was really nice! Bathrooms were all new as were dish washing facilities and covered camp cooking in the tent areas. Our section was all pull-throughs and we didn't have a firepit and weren't allowed to use our own. Other areas with back-in sites did have fire pits. The campground had nice trails through the campground for walking. The elk were very prominent throughout the campground at many times of the day. We loved the ease of access to town and other areas of the park. Plus, we had good cell service with AT&T.
This is a renovated campground which is reopened at summer 2021. Washrooms, showers and dish washing sinks are improved and very cleaned. There is at least one of such facility close to each loop. The only problem was an hour !! of cleaning time for each of them at the morning that cost you extra walk to other farther facility! Whistler campground is huge and has more than 40 loops for tents and RV's. Beware that like half of them have barely a tree for shadows or privacy. Check Google maps with satellite views to have an idea if this is important for you. Also some of the campsite doesn't include fire pit for campfire. There is a brand new playground for kids too.
Well equipped, quiet campsite. The grounds are huge and there’s a lot of spots for campers of all kinds. We stayed in a camper van and were well situated being close to 3 different bathroom facilities. The bathrooms have recently been updated and they are one of the cleanest we’ve ever used while camping! It’s about a 40 minute walk into town and we paid $25 for a taxi ride back. There unfortunately isn’t a free shuttle anymore into town, but staff were all super helpful and gave us excellent tips for our stay!
Great campground! Very beautiful scenery around and you can see the mountains. The campsites are far enough apart so you have privacy and also close to the washrooms. The facilities are very clean and well maintained! Highly recommend
Great renovations including where you register at entrance, much better than before with huge parking lot. Convenient location, beautiful views and nice fire pits and some sites have power too. Strongly recommend to book online. Restrooms: Newly renovated.
