Westport Inn

This was the most awful hotel stay we have ever experienced. We were staying in a camper and were hoping for a warm night in a hotel. Boy were we wrong. We got to the room and it was +10c inside. The temperature didn't even register on the thermostat. There were no towels in the room either, so we called and asked for towels and complained about the heat. The guy came to deliver towels to the room and he pretty much threw them in the room and ran away. We had the thermostat turned up so we figured eventually it would heat up but even after a 2 hour movie that we watched in coats and blankets there was no noticeable increase in temperature. So they gave us a different room. So we packed up the kids, luggage, and their blankets and moved to a different room, which felt warmer and didn't smell quite as bad (the first one smelled like cigarettes, and terribly so). Anyway after getting the kids to bed we realized that when you go outside in -28c weather then back in, that +12c feels pretty warm. So the second room was also cold. At least this one you could feel a bit of heat coming out of the dented up baseboard radiant heating system. It was barely warm enough to sleep in with blankets up to my ears till about 4:30 am. We all got up and left later in the morning, thinking the free breakfast would be the redemption of the evil sleep. It turns out the free breakfast is coupons for A&W and even though there were 5 of us they would only give us 2 coupons. If you're considering staying here, it would be better if you knocked yourself out with a blunt object and sleep in a snowbank. O and the wifi didn't work.

Booked and didn’t even end up staying. Paid for my room on Expedia. Was doing Christmas shopping and I had my little brother (17) and his girlfriend (also 17) with me. We showed up for our room at 1130 at night and were told even though our room was paid for they wanted a $200 deposit. I explained softly that I did Not have $200 I could give him, but $50 if he could make an exception for me. They refused to make an exception and I went next door to the Gateway inn where I was given exceptional service and treated like a human being. I DO NOT recommend Westport Inn in Grande Prarie

This motel will never see me again. The WiFi doesn't connect, the taps run all night long, they don't bother to use fitted or even a real bottom sheet. So you wake up on a bed that's bear except right under you. I couldn't get a wake up call and the tub doesn't drain. So you stand in 10" of water to shower. And it has a weird, peculiar stench or odor. The TV doesn't show ANY local program. The range of channels it does show are flaccid having no actually interesting or watchable channels. So the evenings are brutally long and difficult to sit through until sleep falls on you.

Terrible, cheap rooms. They stink and it's wasn't worth the amount they charge. Don't ever come here
