The service is terrible. During check in Mr Zul reception failed to provide more information about taxes until we checked out we only know there are $10 more charges for a foreign passport per night and $3 tourism tax was informed only.nNext was the nightmare on housekeeping. We have been calling for cleaning up for 3 times in a few hours apart with the help of morning duty manager Mr Peter at 8.30am. But upon returning after 10am nothing was done in the room. Hence we had to call to housekeeping department given them a second chance and they acknowledged to clean it.nHowever to our disappointment despite promises, nothing was done till we informed the morning duty manager.nThe 4 stars hotel do not have a bell boy to assist you with the luggage. So be prepared to do your own. No welcome message appeared in a digital TV as a member which we normally do when we went for the other countries with their brands Holiday Inn.nThis is the worst Holiday Inn & Suites Prai hotel I stayed.nnGood luck. Staff lack of training and needs more training.

Normally my go-to chain but I would avoid this one. I had the quoted price change during checkin and when I asked about it they brushed it off as a business expense. Didn’t feel honest so I left.
I stayed last week and had a very bad experience staying in this hotel and will never step in anymore. Firstly there is no bell boy to assist you for the luggage being a four star hotel a minor problem -just to share with you.nSecondly the reception Mr Zul did not advise on the foreign passport taxes of $10 per night but only mentioned $3 per night for the tourism tax. We only found out when we checked out to collect more cash which we left a few notes. Very disappointed service provided.nThirdly the housekeeping department is a worst nightmare we encountered on the second day we stayed and asked for housekeeping in the morning. Mr Peter, the duty manager, had taken down our request. However nothing was done upon returning and requested one more time to call the housekeeping department and she said she will do it right away.nUnfortunately, her message did not carry out at all. We had to go to the reception to voice out. By then it was already in the noon. The lady duty manager came by and noted our concern. She was the one who received our call but the housekeeping department failed to do anything.nLast but least, one bed supposingly to have a soft pillow and a firm pillow. But in my room, 2 soft pillows were received. The next day when they finally managed to tidy up the room, the pillows back to 2 soft pillows no firm pillows at all. I suspected that they do not even bother and follow the pillow texture and put the wrong covers instead for one of the beds. Why I am saying that because I can tell the differences between the soft pillow and firm pillow.nAnd usually when we check in for Hotel Inn in other countries, they always has a warm message addressing you welcoming you to their hotel. But this one at piar, nothing at all.nIn conclusion, this was a very bad experience I had never encountered before and nothing happened in this way from Holiday Inn I had stayed in other countries to provide such a wonderful experience!nI cannot attached the photos that I stayed. Anyway, they need more and more training or they are not even fit to work in Holiday Inn & Suites Grand Piar Hotel until full training are provided.
Location is easy to find, our room is perfection, very friendly staff. They gave us a super reasonable rate when we decided to stay an extra night.
