we stayed at the Holiday Inn Grand Prairie Conference Center, February 10–11 2024 with our hockey team.nnin preparation for our travel, the hotel was really good at communicating what they could provide and some good meal options .nnwhen we arrived, we were welcomed by their staff and found everything organized for our team and players.nnduring our day the staff was exceptional and really went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. Would definitely recommend.nnA special things to Elizabeth, who helped us organize our reservation/stay.
Staying here currently. There is almost no sound proofing so I can hear every overhead step. There are drain flies in the bathroom sink, and a children's sports team running up and down the halls while their useless parents get drunk and ignore the disruption. I'm in hell.nnThe bed is comfortable and the sheets are soft. The room was serviced daily. The staff are nice but none of these things make up for screeching feral unsupervised brats running up and down the hall.nnI see from other reviews that the manager is pro active in dealing with these useless, entitled, problematic parents but unfortunately my stay was negatively affected by them anyway.
Every few months out employees attend the Grande Prairie central Holiday Inn, for a course. We are served breakfast and lunch. The food is excellent, especially their trademark soups. They brought in a new Chef about 6 months ago and he's money! Thanks for the great food!
We stayed at the Holiday Inn and Conference Centre in Grande Prairie over the Jan 25-28 with our U11AA hockey team.nnI will start off by saying that this was by far the most unwelcome we have ever felt staying at a hotel... and we stay at a lot.nnWhen a few boys were having a some fun at the end of a hallway playing a small game of mini sticks at 10am, the manager came up and started yelling at them. When confronted by one of our parents, she quickly said it was not the kids fault and blamed the parents for poor parenting. She said that if our team got one more noise complaint that they would kick us out. We weren't even there for 24hrs. We got to the hotel around 8pm the night before and were in our rooms by 9, not sure how that would allow for too many noise complaints. She then said she has never had a bad experience with a hockey team other than another team from our same community, I really don't know how that was relevant. She proceeded to tell a parent that no children all 10+ can walk around without a parent.nnThe pool smelt moldy and it took three washes to get it completely out of my kids hair.nnWe asked to rent a banquet room so we could keep our kids out of the halls and we were told we could only do so if we had your food and drinks. We supported your restaurant every morning and other times through the day. Our team was given 8pizzas from the tournament organizers that we had to eat in the arena lobby bc we had no other option. Insane.nnIf you're going to have such strict rules for sports teams, Don't sign up for a stay and play.
We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn and Suites. The food was okay, service did the best they could I guess. If you're lucky enough to stay on the third floor rooms 301-320, Tuesday to Saturday you will be blessed with the best housekeeper ever. We looked forward to seeing her everyday, she was so sweet, always gave us enough towels and everything we needed for our family unlike the other housekeepers. We absolutely loved her and think she deserves a raise!
