Story

Wenberg County Park, formerly Wenberg State Park, is a 46acre park located on the shores of Lake Goodwin in the community of Lake Goodwin, Washington. The park is maintained by Snohomish County Parks and Recreation. Wenberg began as a 20acre Snohomish County park until the state acquired it in 1947. It remained a Washington state park until July 16, 2009, when the state transferred the park back to Snohomish County in an effort to keep it open while addressing a state budget crisis.The park has a boat launch and swimming area that can be accessed using Washington State Route 531. There is a $10 launch fee.

Nice, pretty park with big trees. $10 Day use fee; state park passes do not work. Beach is much smaller than the pictures show, and surrounded by dock so you don’t get a clear view of the lake from the beach. Use of lake seems focused on boating.
We have made coming here out annual tradition. Pros: -working bathrooms/showers -friendly rangers/staff -secure location -very well kept grounds -lake access -good sized sized sites Cons: -quiet time at 10pm
We like going but if you have longer trailer you may want to view site picking ahead of time cause the length will fit just getting in there may require a lot of expertise. We know as we experienced this once with experience he fought and we wouldn't have gotten it in spot had the one behind us been occupied. We still enjoy staying there.
I love love love this state park! My wife and I live in our RV and before we got a permanent site for living in it we had too park hop. By far Wenberg was the best. While we stayed there the last time, our wiener dog, Brownie, died. We were so sad about her death that the host and the park rangers let us figure out where to lay her too rest. And while we grieved her loss they let us stay past the the allowed 14 days everyone can stay, they didn't even make us pay the 4-5 days that we went over. We were so sad about the loss of our dog that when we pulled our we didn't realize how long we went over the allowed 14 days, and when we went to pay they told us not worry about it. The ranger named Shawn was the most helpful to us because a park ranger that came from another park to fill in for another ranger saw that we had stayed longer than allowed came and told us we had to leave and we tried to tell her about our loss and she interrupted us and said she was going to right us a ticket and make us leave and impound our trailer if we didn't leave before the end of the day. I went and looked for Shawn to tell him and he went to set her straight he came and apologised to my wife for the inconvenience. I was gone for that because I had to go lay my dog to rest in the spot I chose for her. In short we will always hold a special place in our hearts for the park and the rangers that were so kind to us there.
Beautiful camping area. Rangers are very helpful and nice.
First night in the hook up site was nice. Camp host is very sweet and inviting. The lake was recently filled up with trout so bring a pole and tackle. Firewood is dry and 5 a bundle. Pick it up at the host site with a wheelbarrow.
I don't want to tell you how amazing it was camping here, because I want to be able to get a reservation again next summer. The campground is great. The bathrooms are nice. The host is friendly. The lake is not too cold. The swim area is very fun, and not too deep. There are so many tall trees for shade. There are plenty of picnic tables at the lake. The hike back to the parking and camping areas is a bit steep. Saturday was the busiest day at the lake! Sunday was pretty busy, but not bad. Monday was even less busy as expected. 10 out of 10, definitely recommend. You should camp here.

Cosy park in the woods near a beautyfull lake. Super friendly and helpfull staff
Great park !!! Spaces sone are bit tight if you have Longer then 25 foot rig.
